Some absolutely vital games this round. Pies and Demons in must win games against tough opposition. We'll find out just how good the Bombers really are, while Brisbane will want to beat up on their little brothers.

St Kilda v Freo
Carlton v Essendon
Pies v Port
Adelaide v GWS
Brisbane v Gold Coast
West Coast v Hawthorn
Cats v Tigers
Sydney v North
Demons v Bulldogs

Saints
Blues
Pies
Crows
Lions
West Coast
Cats
Swans
Demons

Getting in early this week, Ian.

Carlton, Adelaide and West Coast are all ironclad certainties, but all other games could go either way.

Very tempted to tip the Tigers, who will worry Geelong bigtime, but it may be too big an ask for them to keep it together for the full 100 minutes.

North will beat the Swans.

Gold Coast could roll Brisbane on last weekend's form, but can they perform at that level two weeks on the trot?

Geez, I'm up against it, I think...

St Kilda
Carlton
Collingwood
Adelaide
Gold Coast
West Coast
Geelong
North
Melbourne (how bad are the Pups that I'm tipping this??!!)

^^^

You scoff because you're scarred from years of failure and anguish, but Richmond will be in this one up to their ears.

I scoff due to that yes, + three weeks of having watched Richmond this season.

We are getting there, but not yet. What will Geelong do to us each time Hackson or Spudwards turns the ball over?

Won't get within 10 goals of them.

Its not just a Collingwood thing though.

The contemporary football media can only survive, seemingly, by drumming up some sort of over the top hysteria each and every week.

After Round 1, Melbourne was in the gun; then it was open slather on Hawthorn after Round 2; now Collingwood is in full-on crisis after Round 3...

Who will be next to cop an unwanted mugging?

Few clubs wouldn't be getting roasted like the Bulldogs could be if they lose to Melbourne this week, although the media does have a history of playing softly with the Pups.

To be fair Malthouse and Eddie have given quotes to suggest the club president and former premiership coach hate each other. It would be logical to imagine there being an element inside the club loyal to Mick.

St Kilda
Carlton
Collingwood
Adelaide
Gold Coast
Hawthorn
Richmond
Sydney
Bulldogs

I'm picking a couple big upsets.

according to Eddie, Malthouse isn't welcome back at the club

What, forever, or just while Eddie is on deck?

Not sure that Eddie should have carte blanche on this.

Will he be met by hired goons at the door if he lobs up in his media role?

Well, that's a different story.

Presumably Eddie has rolled through the club polling everyone then.

Its a tough situation, but I don't think Eddie has handled this well.

I honestly don't get why people are picking Richmond.

I would LOVE to be wrong but really?

As for Ed, te he. Micks off the leash, can say as he pleases and Ed ain't liking it.

Unfortunately for the Pies, they jumped the gun on the succession (were playing rubbish when it was done) and Micks justifiable in being pissed off. They need a get out clause in the case of a premiership/gf appearance etc. it's solely on Ed that they didn't.

Did anyone think if FIGJAM started poorly Mick wouldn't get stuck in?

They'll be in a whole lot of trouble if Juniors out for too long.

Horrendous leg injury in our game to Gray. The leg just isn't supposed to do that. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

Great to see the Blues lose even of it meant cheering on the Bombers. Really tight game last night too.

Really nasty leg injury to Gary Rohan, as well.

Essendon away to an ideal start, but expect the fun to end on Wednesday. Major hurdle one down for West Coast en route to that 11-0 start.

To me it looks as if we have our bottom 6 almost sorted already... Bulldogs, Port, Brisbane, Melbourne, GC and GWS.

What would make you think Essendon will lose!?

Richmond nearly proved me wrong and probably should have. Actually happy enough with the result. Anywhere but the Cattery we would have won (mad 2nd qtr tactics cost us the game) and as a very young group they will hopefully learn from that.

Jack needs a rocket though.

What was the deal in Perth? Was it raining? Around 40 behinds were kicked?
