I would guess it's because Wollongong is the 'regional' half of the joint venture, whilst kogarah being in Sydney makes it easy to say oh there are still 6 games in sydney, regardless of whether they are at Kogarah or not.

Go to the Bat and Ball (althought prob a bit small for the Dragon Army) or the Captain Cook beforehand instead, good pubs and the walk to the ground is one of my favourite parts of footy at Moore Park, such a good atmospher and build up of excitement

funny you should say that, a very long time ago, i played cricket at moore park for some team can't remember, anyway after every game straight over to the bat and ball, sat arvo in summer you could hardly move.

Dear Oh dear! As you've been told probably a million times before, you're all ouwet on this one too Ouwet
ANZ hands out free tickets to practically every game to shoppers at the local malls (like Rhodes every time I'm there) to give their franchisees someone to sell to, thus inflating their numbers
The SCG was our home ground when we played the match of the round week in week out so for us old timers (anyone over fifty I guess) it has significance and a lot of happy memories.
More coming up when we kick your asses come round 5

yep on the wrong side of 50 cagey, i remember very well driving with my brother from 7 hills to the scg, some fantastic games they were, some great clashes with wests, balmain, souths, good times they were.

Yes, loved the regular walk from and to Central. The fast moving crowd was fun and colourful[ always predominately red and white, same as todays crowds] We always sat in the M A Noble stand. Same old crap from Berry fans, low on facts with zero iq.Oh, thats right, some bignoter at your club recently said that you would be bigger than Collingwood in 5 years!!:crazy::D

My concern with this switch is the safety of my young children. I only take them to Kogarah games because with season tickets I am guaranteed to be only surrounded by quality people (i.e. other saints fans).

I'm not angry about the ground not being finished, shiit happens, but if they can't guarantee no dog loser thugs in my seating area then I want a refund.

Even though we're missing a game at Kogarah, I love the SCG. So many times I saw the great Dragons sides march down the race to the ground.
They always had the Aussie cricket team dressing shed on the ladies stand side, and what an inspiring sight is was a the famous Red V run onto the ground.
we used it more than the aussie cricket as we were always the Saturday match of the round.

LOL willow

I saw that guy get a real hard time outside the ground, the police would have liked nothing better than to slap him. It was only the next day I realised it was a joke .... a bloody funny one too. :D

Dragons season ticket holders will be allocated reserved seating prior to any other group (eg tickets that had already been purchased by Bulldogs supporters for the match at Kogarah). You will all be sitting together.

Hope this Helps

FTR, Kogarah was once in a sh*t state too, BUT, you guys got funding from the gov't and are now playing games there again. The Bulldogs are in a similar situation now. If you guys didn't get the gov't grant, you'll probably still be playing games at the SFS or ANZ.

this is bullsh*t, I don't give a damn about getting a bigger crowd I want this game at kogarah where it belongs

It's more to do with the NW stand being unfinished than wanting a bigger crowd.

If the ground is still a building site, and we played there, everyone would have to undergo a site induction before they could enter! :D

Ah, blind faith. It's true, some folks never stop believing.

You can be sure that many of us will be checking for seats asap. Unlike Canterbury supporters, we are not used to walking into grounds that are three-quarters empty.

Unfortunately we could see this coming weeks ago. Even if there were no natural disasters and lack of materials, I think we would still be in the same position.

It's valid reasoning I know... and one of the better excuses given over the last 10 years. But forgive me if I just add it the very long list of excuses to that have stopped us going to Kogarah.

This happens too often and always to Kogarah I no longer believe the club in these events . I won't go nor will Locky and that includes our families .

Well seeing I've already paid for my air ticket, I'm on my way.

It'll be nostalgic if nothing else. I'll bring my binnoculars, streamers and red and white beanie.
