3: Lomax - took runs like a forward, kicked all of his goals, and kicked the match-winning field goal. So glad he's an Eel.

2: Paulo - ran hard, hit hard, and played big minutes. Best I've seen him play in some time.

1: Smith - his energy, and desire to make a difference in defence, can't be understated. Plus he offered crisp service, and strong defence, and he even made decent metres.

While we made some errors, I think every Eel gave 100% yesterday.

3 Junior
2 Ryley Smith
1 Lomax
Drown, Lane much improved, Walker and Iongi unlucky

Pretty much this ..

That tackle by Junior after the kickoff where he forced a knock on was great.

Lamax is huge the thing the Dragons lost with him wasn't that he was a sook for not wanting to play wing but that he gives 110% every game even when your team is losing more than they are winning..

Smith just wrap him up I'll take him now.

3. Smith. Where has this kid been ffs? Oh that's right!
2. Paulo. Did the impossible. Came back from the dead. Obviously loving The Ryles Revolution cause the guy was washed up before his arrival.
1. Lomax. This guy is the energizer bunny. 2 warm ups yesterday. One emulating his hero, BA, in bare feet.
HMs: Walker, what a debut. Was always going to be a game changer for our Eels. Iongi, raw but massive potential. Loved his tackle on Gutho. Gutho was always going to go himself against the kid who took his job.
So nice to wake with a win this morning and so nice to FINALLY hear The Parra Chant again. What a great day.

Love it after a win.

3 - Paulo - leadership (and form) that had been lacking
2 - Smith - passion, skill, loving his confidence and development
1 - Lomax - again passion, positive play and always working, and the kicking

HMs to Walker, Iongi (although a few youthful errors in there).

Good to see the energy and passion of all the above being infectious and resulting in much needed improvements for other players, experienced and relative newbies alike.

3 - Paulo his best game in 3 years.

2 - Iongi fantastic game for the young fella. Exciting to see how good he can be in a year or two.

1 - Ryley Smith what a little terror he is, just think this time last year he was stuck in Flegg.

Walker was also outstanding he helped change the game when he came on.

totally agree... without Riley, alot of the big turning points in the game wouldn't have swung our way.

Sign him up on a nice fat contract as I reckon others will come after him. Bennett said he wanted a young hungry hooker..

It's good to hear some positivity and have hope for improvement yet after reading this thread. It was pretty dire there for a while.
I only caught the extra time on the radio in the car so unable to give points.

It gets worse when you realise Lomax & Gutho must have got 3 + 1 each.
I can cop someone thinking Ryley was 2nd best but Brown? The only thing that’d make it worse was if that vote card was 3 Gutho 2 Brown 1 Lomax.
