The slightest contact with the head or neck this week and players will lay down and milk it for a sin bin. These knee-jerk crackdowns are a blight on the game.
There's not much difference between Lawrie and Guler. Considering the opposition we could have risked giving LPT a run.
Sele, Eisenhuth, RFM and BMM have all been named in reserves. Flanno must have a lot of faith in Lawrie regaining some form but surely this is his absolute last, do something useful or piss off, chance.

And who do you reckon will be the team that is the first victim of the latest crackdown?
Wouldn't surprise me if they bin two of us.

I noticed that Finau isn't playing this weekend in KOE. Either it's because he's playing FG this weekend, or because Feagai hasn't had any game time since the Dogs game and needs to get some reps in. The latter doesn't really make sense though, because then they'd just push Buchanan back to Flegg, one would think...

Good to see BMM and Sele back out there though, hope they go well.

I think it'll be across the board with refs happy to oblige and keep their bosses and the punters happy. The fans will be baying for blood as well if anyone goes close to their players heads. It could get ugly like that ridiculous crackdown on the wrestle a few years back with 20+ penalties/ 6 agains per games. Hopefully we show a bit of discipline for a change and avoid the refs wrath - but then again Gerard Sutton is the ref and Casey Badger in the bunker......good grief.

This is the 4th game in a row with an early Saturday start and I'm pretty sure Casey Badger has been video ref for most of them.

The 3pm Saturday time slot sucks, it has ruined the last month of Saturday afternoons for me. Then next week we have the 6pm Friday game FFS. Why have the NRL done this to us?

That’s because they think we are irrelevant. If you noticed also all the sports news on the tv stations covered all the other games played that day and Friday not a whimper on ours and it was probably the best match. Until we string a few together we will continue to be irrelevant .
