Have to try Glover he made the break for the draw in KOE cup, he has a great dummy and acceleration. Sloan as said above is a pea heart, I never thought I’d say this but I think we would be better with Rava there and that’s saying something.

I'm over it.

Until we recruit a decent middle (maybe even two of them) to compliment the young forwards coming through, we will only ever be an average team.

Last quarter of the game we never got into field position, because we simply don't have the gusto where it counts. We had points in us today if we were able to spend more decent time down in there red zone. We can blame Lachlan and Kyle for not being creative enough, but the forwards are giving them absolutely no chance at the moment.

Game never should have got to golden point.

Anyway, 'the glass half empty' portions of my match preview came to fruition. Onto the next one...

Can't afford to have wingers who can't kick return effectively. We get a roll on then sloan takes a hit up & gets pushed back or slows down the play the ball. We've got wingers who can kick return effectively. Pick him.

Melbourne got over the line 5 other times last week only to be stopped by an individual act of desperation or a slight handling error.

We are that close to being the only team without a win. Yep, so what, we won, I get it but if I ever met a bunch of players that could hide behind a bye and an upset victory, it's the Dragons players of the last decade. They cannot maintain a tenacity that other clubs can. They are mentally ruined no matter which coach is at the reigns.

I don't get sad when they lose. Haven't for years now. They are not a team to be proud of. If we snuck a victory today it wouldn't have meant much more than more false hope that they can be anything other than fodder for the rest of the comp.

Completely sick of our club. They are fake, feeble cats.

We need an elite prop and can't even get one across the line. I bet another 5 problems arise before we do and we will be here, at this point of the season next year still talking about better days ahead.

Good post mate, Gutho was the one who deserved the victory today except our imbeciles couldnt deliver it for him. Now on NRL the write up is how Lomax won them the game.

Yep, Souths got much more when Ilias was dropped last year.

And the comments here about Ilias deserving to be dropped after today’s game are just ridiculous.
You can only call a spade a spade mate. That kick out on the full cost us the game, what else would you like us to say. BTW I dont blame him for everything, he had a lot of helpers in stuffing that game up.

Given our roster, I'm just glad we aren't getting blown away. I don't see any of our players performing above or below their abilities. Like Widdop, then Hunt and now Gutherson, we only have one big game player. If you want to blame anyone, blame management for not putting together a team with more 'top 8 players' in it.
You are not wrong but we have to move on some players are not delivering including some that the coach recruited, Cook, Ilias, Flanagan and Tui are the ones that come to mind.

A player like Gutho is our own kryptonite in that we have a lot of spectators who like to parade as NRL first graders. They stand around waiting for Clint to do something instead of being the reason we seal a victory we set ourselves up for. Hard to single out one or two but it is definitely a team mentality. Yes, Hunt, should have done better on many an occasion but he was also one player teammates would sit back and wait to do something.

Yes you pay these leaders to lead but you never should get to the 60 minute mark and expect otehrs to take the game. Our team will never learn that that isn't how it works in first grade.

Flanagan got dirty with them after Souths. Got them up for the Storm and now back to this, the exact same thing.

We get absolutely FLOGGED without Gutho. Heaven forbid he goes down.

If Cody Ramsay's body allows him to get back to NRL, he will be the next Gutherson for us. He involves himself in a match and makes himself the reason points are scored.

O the kick out did not cost us the game…Devlin giving away a stupid penalty 30m out cost us the game….the same penalty he gave away last week…. Sloan not scoring the try which 99% of first grade wingers would have scored…. Klemmer dropping the ball from kickoff allowing eels to score on next set….these things cost us the game… not Illiaa

I don’t feel this way this season. In past seasons, with players like Corey Norman, Josh McGuire, George Burgess, I really didn’t like the team I supported, I was definitely not ‘proud’ of them. And last year I just couldn’t stand the sight of Ben Hunt after he dragged the club through the mud.
However this year, I’m happy with the effort, they seem to have a good attitude, they’re busting their guts.
Now they aren’t winning games, but so far they’ve lost 2 games by a point, one by 8 points and the other they won. 1 from 4 isn’t a good start, but I feel like this team this year is a team we can get behind. The chants of “St George” singing out around the stadium today was something that I haven’t heard in a while.
I reckon fans are on board, I can support this mob.

Yep you are right mate, as I said he had a lot of helpers in wrecking that game, the kick out was the last straw that broke the camels back.

Big week for Flanno, I am a big supporter BUT if basically the same side is picked this week I am starting to doubt myself. We have a lot of players out of form & you cant keep picking them hoping things will improve, I look forward to Tuesday !

we muffed both games
I was at there at the game watching my beloved saints and we muffed a third game, seriously what was Cook thinking again , He got caught out on the last tackle giving Parramatta a golden opportunity on our 40, they didnt need much more of an Invitation, after that they where on a roll, thats the second time Cook has given the opposition a golden opportunity to come back,
it is probably the reason Bennett said on your Bike .
As for sloane, we cant carry him any longer, surely Sion comes in on the wind, he would have scored that try and he wouldn't have had those errors in him.
Even Wizard of Oz couldn't give Sloane a Heart
