Good Friday: a time to remember the sacrafice Jesus Christ made for humanity. As a result of Jesus' great gift we were blessed with a number of lifes gifts including Friday Night Football!

It's that time of year folks where two of the classier sides in the NRL square off. Through out its brief history the Good Friday clash has produced some amazing contests. Who could forget the inaugrel match where the Roosters pulled up 20-18 winners? Or how about last years clash? Filled with drama and heroics the Broncos managed to draw an unlikely 16-12 victory.

What will this years game produce? Well I'll leave the speculation for later (and to fellow members!). As a Broncos fan I see our side lining up as:

1. Karmichael Hunt
2. Antonio Winterstein
3. Steve Michaels
4. Justin Hodges
5. Israel Folau
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Peter Wallace
8. Nick Kenny
9. Aaron Gorrell
10. Joel Clinton
11. Sam Thaiday
12. Lagi Setu
13. Corey Parker

14. Andrew McCullough
15. Dave Taylor
16. Josh McGuire
17. Alex Glenn

Best of luck Roosters supporters and lets show the Rugby League world what our sides are capable of. :)

No Sims? Surely he deserves a spot over McGuire... I'd prefer if we had 3 big forwards on the bench personally, although it depends who you are playing, but we missed that extra forward last week.

I wish they'd try Folau in the centres, even if Hodges is playing on his favoured side.. he is simply wasted on the wing

This should be a welcome return to the winners circle after the thumping by the Dragons last week.

Brisbane have in recent years been dominant over the Roosters. If last week served as the wake-up call that is was, then things should go as planned on Friday night.

Winderstein AGAIN..double f..k! Micaels I can cop but Winderstein singlehandly stuffed any chance we had of beating the Dragons!

He didn't lose the game for us, but he looked like a school boy out there on Friday night.. was really shown up.

Good luck Broncos, not that I think you'll really need it, we're due for another belting if the first month is anything to go by.

I take it you don't watch the Queensland Cup. ;-)

McGuire has been monstering teams week in week out and has shown he's superior to Sims.

Exactly so why not put Glenn in the centres and Micaels back on the wing. That side of the field gives me heart attacks, they are both terrible in defence and Winderstein can't catch a bomb which should be the no1 criteria for picking a winger. I'd rather Jaral Yeo Yea if we have to pick an inexperienced winger, at least he can catch and run fast!

All it took was one dropped ball and you've already turned against him. You're the worst judge of football I've seen.

That was not just one drop..that was the one drop and the countless amount of breaks down his wing as well. He is slow for a winger.

His defensive efforts were pretty poor I thought, the play where Boyd almost scored, he didn't wanna tackle him.

Right, but Sims had a cracking game against the Warriors, which is in the NRL and not the queensland cup.

I will be there to see them put on 36 points vs the Chooks. They better bounce back cause 3-2 does not look all that great

Sadly you've got me as I only caught snippits of Round 3. The downsides of having a birthday right? ;-)

Either way Sims or McGuire will serve us well. Both players have been playing consistent football for Norths.

I'd rather give McGuire a go as he is the long term solution, not Sims. Sims has already been tested and found inconsistent (even though he has a good game every now and then).

With regards to Winterstein, by his own admission he had a shocker on Friday night. But I actually think in the first 3 games he played quite well. I'm willing to persist with him for a few more games. I'd prefer to drop Michaels who has done nothing for 4 weeks, put Folau back in the centres and Yoh Yeh back on the wing.

Agree with you.
Anyone who wants to drop Winterstein can slap themselves a few times and wake up. Seriously.

Last years good friday clash was a brutal affair...

Hoping for more of the same except the Chooks to take the points..

All the best anyway...

How many have we won on the trot against the Chooks now? Surely they're due.

Should be a great game, although I expect us to fade late in the match, and you lot to capitilize. I'm hoping for a repeat of the physicality from either of our 2 clashes from last year, as they were both great to watch even though we lost both of them. Good luck Broncos.

I'll be there and I can't wait (even though we'll get smashed.) Good Friday is always a great game, although I probably shouldn't go since the last time I went to a Good Friday game and we won was in 2000.

Good luck to the Broncos. Pretty much the only set of supporters on here who don't go ape sh*t mental when you win a game, very respectful after the game, always a pleasure.

And locky, if you aren't happy with Winterstein I'll gladly take him back.

How many have we won on the trot against the Chooks now? Surely they're due.

We haven't beaten you since we last played you up at Suncorp in 05. We are not due until we play you there again
