I'll go against the grain and say I'd have Simmons in for Mansour.

Our edge defence is in urgent need of improvement, and Simmons is without doubt our best positional/defensive back. Whare will obviously make a difference, but Whare & Simmons on one side and ET on the other, should go a hell of a long way to improving our defence.

Simmons should be named so we at least have one player with experience against a tough Sharks team. Without him, (excluding Moylan) the most experienced player is DWZ with a massive 16 games under his belt.

Simmons has done nothing wrong to cop the ridicule he gets and the youngsters will not get a chance to show what they can do against a Sharks outfit with a nails hard park. Experience vs flashiness wins the day here.

If we were on a roll and the majority of the team were experienced, then sure try out the youngsters, but we have a team where even the spine is inexperienced (Segyaro and Moylan have barely two years of first grade each) and the back line qualifies for u20. Peachey - 28 games (mostly off the bench), Cartwright 13 games, RCG 7 games, Yeo 14 games, Api 18 games. Isaac John at 45 games is a veteran but only 31 of those are in the NRL. That's barely a season. We need a few old heads in the team or we are going to get spanked.

Ahh, the skill of anticipation. Its undervalued in many sports. The winger who keeps scoring but isn't fast, flashy or big. The centre forward who keeps scoring but who can't dribble like Messi, hit the ball like a thunderbolt and is average speed. "He is just lucky. he is always in the right place at the right time. The other players create the goals/tries". Of course they do......
