Round 7 v Brisbane Broncos (Team List)

This is beyond ridiculous, we are 7 games in and we have 9 first grade regulars on the injured list (Braith, Benji, Moltz, Lawrence, Aysh, Lote, Marika, Keithy, Bell), literally have the side. Combine that with the fact that we had a lot of players exit the side and not many come in, we are really in a tough position.

We have to be the most injury prone club in the NRL,not to forget the likes of Tuiaki and Dwyer who are now retired due to injury.

Let's be honest, Lawrence, Ayshford and Moltzen. They aren't really significant losses based on form, are they?

Once Koro, Galloway and Marshall are back we should be OK.

Feel for the kid and sorry that his year is gone.

But back to the performance tonight, Moltzen showed nothing tonight and I'd say that Robbie was not happy with his kicking game as well, even line kicks showed a lack of effort and I won't mention his defensive effort.
I guess that means nothing now.

Siro was not much better though.

Feeling sorry for Potter right about now. Poor fella is in a tough position, let us hope he puts the cleaners through the joint starting with defensive coaches, fitness staff and tidy's up his playing roster.

Agree. It's pretty clear that our high performance unit isn't up to it (not just due to the injuries - most have admittedly been freak incidents).

Is it wrong to say Moltzen is a f**kwit and im glad hes gone?

How the f**k are we gonna field a 1st grade standard side next week?

Dont get me wrong, i never wish harm on any player, especially ours but im elated he will not wear our strip again for a while.

On the other hand, shit, were f**ked...

Plenty of positives from the game last night i thought. We competed well against a side clearly favourites to win . If we had Benji and Kori in the side i have no doubt we could have won that game and also won last week. Lawrence out is a positive and so is Moltzen. Id say in the coming weeks we may end up with Anasta 7 Benji 6 Reddy and Sirro in the centres with Kori and hopefully Nou on the other wing. That backline is a hell of a lot better than what was out there nearly beating the broncs last night so i havnt given up hope for this year just yet.

People rejoicing in a player's injury is a disgrace. I would expect that from other clubs, especially dragons fans because of Moltz history with the club, but our own fans? Stop it. Respect our jersey and the blokes that have a go and fill it. If you can do a better job get off your lounge, dust off the twisties, log out of your dutch pay per view website, throw out your tissues and have a crack yourself. Disgusting.

Well written. It is poor form but typical of the behaviour of the groupies whose views are not representative of the wider WTs community.

As much as I dislike Moltzen as a footballer, I would never wish injury on anyone and seeing him in that sort of pain was very distressing. I was sitting a few rows back on that side of the field when he went down and it was agonising to watch, you could hear him screaming. It is horrible seeing any injuries, especially more so one this bad.

In saying that, IMO we won't be any worse without those who were injured last night. We won't win games without them in our current state but we won't be any worse off performance wise. The first half was awful last night.

I Hope this isnt directed at me ? If so apart from stating for the overal team selection it is a positive you could not interpret that as me rejoicing in a player being seriously injured.

Im not rejoicing the fact he is injured, just laughing at the fact that i played league and union for almost 20 years and never once saw a player cry on the field...........until last night.

When the physical or mental pain is at its greatest thats when you have to step up and man up even more on a football field and go to a new level of courage.

Pea heart couldnt do that. And, yes, there is wry amusement in that.....lots of it.

Terrible injury. You have to feel for the kid.

Last night showed me he was not the halfback answer though.

Also as soon as Lawrence went off the gaping hole in the left edge defence dissapeared

It was cringe worthy watching him try to direct play. All he did was mimick Benji Marshall plays but with even poorer execution.

I wanted to punch the TV.

I feel sorry for you. Your comments are absolutely appalling and a new low on this Forum.
