Gee, I love these forums with everyone pointing out the knights are crap because they got well beaten, it's nearly as bad as the dumb comments you get in the Herald.

The problem with the Knights has been the same for the last ten years- crap defensive structure. Watch them they come up in a line stop shuffle to the left or right, ending up stopping on the spot. The ball carrier is then running against a stationary line that is giving them a mile of room to move. Usually two things happen, the Knights make a arm tackle and then are carried a further 5 to 10 metres downfield, or they are on their back heals and are easy run around, especially Uate who has got the ability to always make the wrong decision (Uate just needs to make sure he tackles the person with the ball).

The other point is that the Knights use a lot of arms in tackles and don't drive enough with the shoulders.

How many times does the Knights force oppositions turn overs with hard hitting defence?
Crap defence gives away too much field position, the knights aren't good enough to give field position away so easily
More aggression with line speed, put presuure on the opposition limit attackers thinking time and drive with shoulders. Don't hug each other and be carried 10 metres further down field (adds up to fifty metres a set). Put them on the ground.
Remember Bennets defensive structure where just as bad. Remember we don't do the wrestle.

We'll be ok mate. Stay strong. Swings and roundabouts in the NRL

You haven't been watching us then for the last ten years, our trajectory has been down and it's hard to see it turning based on our circumstances.

We can;t just rely on Mullen.
We had 2 captains out there tonight and neither took on a leadership role.
Tariq started playing games and Hodko was just his usual self. If we lost big time but had someone trying to get the best out of what we had left I'd be ok with it. The trainers were doing the pep talks.

Hodkisnon isn't doing it for me.

Been on board since day 1 with the Knights the last 2 years have been tough but tonight really made me so embarrassed we were a joke of the nrl that field goal at the end done me I feel sorry for all the past players who wore the Knights jersey and gave 110%
Have faith mate. We'll be back

How many have you racked up (not counting fantasy league)

Not sure how that's relevant. You don't need to be an actor to be a movie critic, nor do you need to be a porn star or a prostitute to know a good f**king from a bad one.

Just so you're certain: tonight's was the bad kind of f**king.

The "if you aren't a professional footballer, you can't have an opinion on professional football" argument is stupid.

When your internet is running slow and you complain about it, people don't tell you that you can't have an opinion because you're not a Telstra employee.

If you order a meal and you don't enjoy it, you're allowed to complain about it even if you're not a chef.

If you encounter an idiot on the internet, you're allowed to tell them they're an idiot even if you aren't an idiot yourself. People have been doing that in your direction all evening.

C'mon Turton, Mullo's forte is not attack and nearly all of us in here know it.

If it were Milford copping the head knock and Brissy losing 2 more players do you think Mullo would have done to Brissy what his opposite did to Newy tonight? He would have struggled to roll the ball in for a repeat set let alone get a try assist or score one himself.

Share your NRL career with us so we can understand where u are coming from.

If attack isn't Mullo's forte, I struggle to imagine what it would be.

He's not exactly a tireless workhorse in defense.

Not sure how Mullo has become a point of conversation after only playing 5 mins tonight?

We, as fans, need to just write off this game. It was going to be difficult enough to come close to competing with the Broncos with a full strength side and playing well for 80 mins, which we did neither of.

Trust me, this result pains me as much as anyone. I was at the game and I live in Brisbane, I hate seeing us lose to them. The players hopefully learnt a bit from tonight and will pick themselves up and put in a far stronger effort for our next game.

It hurts me to say this but one thing is crystal clear to me:

Snowden & Mullen should both retire at seasons end.
Snowden's back is f**ked and he cannot expect to get paid playing like shit for 3/4s of the season.
Mullen has to be the most injury prone player in the NRL. Every single time he goes anywhere near the ball I hold my breath. There was absolutely nothing in that hit tonight, and I say that as a boxer who's very familiar with getting hit in the face/head. That was an open palm to the face.... How the f**k does that sideline a footballer for an entire game?

I'm not saying he's a sook - I actually think Mullen is tough as nails. Unfortunately he's just made of glass.

We need a centre and half. Hokko can and will get the job done, he just needs a flairy 6. to complement his game. Mullen isn't capable of filling the role. Period.

I really hate using the word "luck" because I'm usually a firm believer that you make your own and that if you work hard you should be able to overcome some poor luck...but Jesus Christ, anything that ever could go wrong always seems to with us and then some.

We can't simply just have a poor performance. Our poor performances are almost always compounded by some kind of freak injury toll or something which turns the simple poor performance into car crash viewing.

Mybe is all but signed, Marshall is over the hill considerably and Norman has thrown 5 good games together; I still have more fingers than the amount of good games he's played in what? 5 years?

Jennings (all of them) are wrapped up, O'Neil sure, Waqa is most likely gone to Union.
