The only way we were going to win today was to complete well and take the refs out of the game.
We didn’t do that. High tackles, shoulder charges, dropped balls. We were never going to win the 50/50 calls.
I’m glad Roosters ran away with it TBH so I didn’t have to lament the near loss and what could have been.
As it was, we were just shit, really shit.

we could have also had a chance of winning if we didn’t make those ridiculous changes just before kickoff

JP is a lot better than what he showed, he's a good winger but he was just way off today. We fell apart once he was sin binned which is disappointing considering how well we defended against the eels after sims was binned.

On a positive note I thought Bird looked dangerous at 6 when we actually had the ball. It will be interesting to see if Hook decides to partner him with Hunt or if he keeps him in the centres, imo he needs to get his hands on the ball as much as possible so Dufty doesn't have to do everything.

The backs didn't see any ball until late in the game when Clune was given more ball and went wide to link with Dufty - which should have been happening all game - the Roosters are vulnerable out wide.
Keep Clune at halfback and bird in the centres.
No need to bring in Peiera even though I can understand the logic.
Ramsey defended really well again today including that ankle tap save on Hutchinson - but he's not a centre.
If we are objective, we were outgunned by a better team today.
I don't think we lost because we did anything particularly wrong although 2 tries while down to 12 men was the worst possible outcome.
Then when it was our turn, we still couldn't take advantage.
Let's hope the Tigers continue their rare streak of form next week.

JP had a chance to impress and he blew it. f**k him off.

That's what I said in my post.

Forwards were gassed early - we don't have the cattle. Backs were underwhelming except for Rava. Hopefully that's clearer.
Agree. Forwards gassed too early. Blocker though tried his best, tired too quckly. The backs other than Rava went missing untill last 15 minutes.

If you feel that way about JP then you must really hate Ramsey who also had a chance to impress at centre and did nothing, zero, nada. Periera made 93 metres from 11 runs obviously injured, Ramsey made 17 metres from 4 runs. At least Periera gets in and has a dig.

Ramsey has been quite good all year for a rookie. And he hasn’t played centre all year. Didn’t play too bad actually. JP was in the squad all last year as a winger. Had his chance to really impress in his natural position. What did he do? Got himself sinbinned and then dropped an easy ball that lead to a roosters try. If that doesn’t frustrate you. Then you have a thicker skin then me.

Our next aquasition shouldn't be a player but a current official from Rorters / Souths /Melbourne who can advise or lead us to how we play the salary cap game . We would also need WIN to pull Their finger out and provide the " independent sponsors " . Agree that their is 3 comps at present, top 6 , middle 6 and bottom 6 .Our best result the next couple of years is middle 6 unless we radically change the way we play " the game "
Forget about 3rd party sponsors
we need ambassador roles in sports betting agencies for example!
marketing and advertising roles, billboards, and businesses created set up earning profits
it’s how the big clubs do it
