Last night when Bird scored that try, I was so pumped, howling and fist pumping only to have it called back and then be denied when it actually was a try anyway. The howling turned to obscenities and the fists nearly went through the TV. To me it is ruining the game big time. I would rather cop a wrong decision here or there than have the moment destroyed like that. The moment isn't while they are lining up goal and you cheer the confirmation. I want to cheer when they slam it down and the ref confirms that mere seconds after.
Yep I agree....everytime a player scores now I think hang on they may have a look at this....is he onside, was there an obstruction, did he knock on, was the ball grounded did his foot touch the sideline, was there an escort when the bomb went up, was a player held up, did the kicker get hit in the air, was there a head high. tackle 20 metres down field and so on and so on...ffs people keep it simple....your taking the excitement out of the game....fans dont want to wait an eternity till the green light is given

All I give a shit about is the dragons. We have had at least 3 tries that were awarded try by the ref, the opposition hasn’t whinged about it then out of nowhere the video ref piped up and finds something to disallow it. Ref seemed confident, Saints seemed confident, opposition had no issues then 2 mins later bang, try gone.
So, it’s a try awarded on field that was taken away by the video ref.

As I said, well duh.

Where has the bunker overruled a try that wasn’t awarded as a try on field?

That’s lovely. Thank you
You’re welcome.

To help round things out, can you help us understand which tries were overruled by the bunker that weren’t ruled as a try on the field?

There is technology but don't know if the bunker can make a correct judgement. Have we all heard of drones or cameras that are capable of doing video above the game. How hard would it be to detect a forward pass using this technology. Not very hard at all. Let's go back to the 1999 GF might change that result.

Pretty sure there’s more than one person reading this thread..

But if semantics mean that much to you, can you help me understand which tries were overruled by the bunker that weren’t ruled as a try on the field?

Refs are listening to the players on all forms of play now. Put simply they can’t a decision on they own. As you saw yesterday, I don’t have any faith in the refs or the bunker, they continue to make unbelievable errors.

Pus the biased commentators the Dragons can’t not win as everyone saw whether it was fox or 9. The only person stood up for the dragons was Jimmy, a lone voice in the white noise of dragon bashing.
Every suspect tackle or pass from the dragons was replayed on fox with Vossy(who I like but he’s dropped down a peg) giving his two bobs worth. Telling everyone the tackle by Rava was a grade 2. I didn’t know he was on the review committee.
As for the roosters no comments or replays.

Looking back at our last 20 minutes on Sunday I thought we did pretty well. We could have capitulated completely given the fatigue and the scoreboard getting well away from us. From just after Clune came on and we got Vaughan and Kerr back out there we really steadied the ship, more than that we started to play some footy and make good inroads against them, really had them on the back foot. The score for that last 20 minutes was 6 all when you could have expected ( like some in commentary ) the Rorters to run away with it. That at least gives us something to work with and shows the boys' competitive spirit is still there.
Back to basics next week, start all over again. We could conceivably win 6 of our next 7, very doable for a committed team with Hunt back on board.
We play Tigers and Bulldogs twice each, Broncos, Storm and Sharkies once each.
Chins up fellas, we've got this.

Agree and I watched the game again in a calm state and prior to the sin bin we were solid and holding our own. Yes we bumbled some chances with 2 poor kicks hittting players legs and Dufty kicking it out of the ground when we made a line break. Should of taken the tackle quick play the ball etc etc
So our really poor game was letting in 2 tries before half time and as you say the 1st 20 after h/t
It was not an 80 min poor performance
