My bad Adsy I didn't realise Korbin was injured.

Oh and just a friendly reminder for you guys that one of our favourite sons will be running out for the Panthers this weekend...

I was impressed with fa'aoso when we played Melbourne, so I'm surprised he isn't in the team. Like others, I agree either he or Sims come in for Edwards.

Newton will be pumped up for this game, hopefully he gets owned. Based on last year, i'd be putting pressure on Ciraldo at every opportunity.

Richie has been ineffective most games this year. Agree he is unlucky to miss out looking at the bench. Our bench could look much better and bigger though.

I don't why Bennett continues to use a small bench with both Hilder and Edwards.

It is not that have pace to burn or a skill set to overcome their lack of size.

Maybe our depth is not what we were led to believe it was before the season started. When I say depth I am of course referring to our first grade 'ready' players. I am of the belief first graders should be a minimum of 21/22 years of age unless they are obviously mature enough as a teenager. Maybe KOD and Cooke will be ready next year. The panthers side picked is deadset the weakest team i have ever seen picked in first grade. Ciraldo and galea are the backrowers. That is depressing in anyone's book.

I agree. He hasn't been great but I think better than Eddy...

What does Edwards have to do to get dropped? Root Bennetts missus?

The bloke has offered absolutely zilch 7 games running. That bench spot could be so better served giving it to another young guy who ain't afraid to run the ball and earn a reputation as something more than a flash in the pan shoulder charge.

Starting to reek of Daniel Mortimer mark 2. Just swap 3 good runs with 3 good shoulder charges and there you have it - a first grade career built on absolutely nothing.

Korbin should be banned for picking the wrong state. I'm thinking minimum 12 months or until he remembers where he was born.

Queenslanders in general sicken me, but more so are ones who identify themselves as Queenslanders because they have seen it on a map.

Geez Eddy was lucky to hold onto his spot when Cuthbertson and Faas got sent packing. Bennett surely must have been in his ear saying it's time to step it up.

Eddie has made just over 300 metres in seven games. His yardage game is subpar and i think it averages out at 6 metres per hit up from the stats i read.

Should paste them.

Disappointed I'll be out in the desert and won't be able to witness the carnage.

I believe I read somewhere, I dont know how true it is, but thought I would throw it out there, that Richie wasn't dropped by Bennett or the coaching staff, he actually dropped himself, because he didn't think he was playing good enough footy?!

Eddie, isn't playing as good as footy as he was last year, I think this is more pointed out because their has been no big hits this season so far... everyone is showing criticism on how many runs he has made, meters, dropped balls and so on, in the case of hitups, i've watched all the games this season again throughout this week, and could it be, that he isn't actually been given the ball, you see multiple times a game where his running to recieve the ball and Mullen or someone else throws it to someone behind him, beside him, opposite direction etc. you can see that he is around the ruck and looking for the ball, but not recieving it, this just be my opinion, and no, im not defending the bloke, because I do agree that his meters have been poor, and his hit ups have been low compared to the other front rowers.

that would be quite bizarre, and if it were true, i would suggest Richie lets the coaching staff rate how he is going and train accordingly.

sounds like bollocks to me, anyway. we need go-forward in first grade, i would think that Bennett would pick him if he wanted to.

So if it's plainly obvious to Mullen that Edwards is shit, why isn't it to Bennett?

Bennett would be proper frustrated with Edwards. After all the good showing last year he has gone backwards big time. I still maintain some players in our squad are intimidated by Bennett's aura. Either they try too hard or play like they are not worthy. If the anecdote about Fas dropping himself is true then it sort of makes my point. Bennett is the benchmark coach and players aim to be the best they can be for him. Willie Mason will be the buy of the year if The Bennett effect rings true ie. players improve remarkably under his coaching. Will is intimidated by nothing and noone except maybe his mum. Mum's are the boss. Any son who is a son knows that.
