IMO The best possible team for this year based on what we know right now:

1. Matt Moylan
2. Josh Mansour
3. James Roberts
4. Dean Whare
5. Travis Robinson
6. Tom Humble
7. Luke Walsh
8. Sam McKendry
9. Lewis Brown
10. Tim Grant
11. Sika Manu
12. Matt Robinson
13. Blake Austin
RES:
14. Mose Masoe/Jeremy Latimore
15. Adam Docker
16. Anthony Cherrington
17. James Segeyaro

Next in Line
18. Mose Masoe/Jeremy Latimore
19. Nigel Plum
20. Vaipuna Tia-Kilifi
21. Sam Anderson
22. Kyle O'Donnell
23. Nathan Smith
24. Clint Newton
25. Kevin Kingston
26. David Simmons
27. Brad Tighe

Love this team, just not sure about Brown at Hooker.

Where was this McKendry injury listed? It will be close to the season you think.

We can cover him Docker has been pretty good. Latimore's back in a few weeks. Smith should play this week. He starts lock Plum prop.

The injuries are bad though come mid-season Roberts, Tighe, Mansour, Latimore are all back so we aren't too bad off.

Funny, the last time I can remember us having a good run with injuries was 2010. But that felt like the footy gods just toying with our hopes only to pile the injuries on in the most important games.

That's what I mean. No surprise that the top 5 teams this year have used the less players in comp.

Give us 5 weeks and all but Coote and McKendry should be back.

This gives a good look at Moylan, Robinson etc so it could be a good thing

Long time reader, first time poster.

That's terrible news to hear about big Sam, he has been killing it for us this year. Let's hope the injury isn't as bad as has been mentioned.

I think once we have our full strength team on the park (with the new additions like Moylan) we will surprise a few teams. 2014 is definitely looking a lot more promising too :)

Hi guys. A chook fan who just heard about big Sam McKendry. No one wants to hear that about any player, in particular such a fantastic front rower who I think is one of the best in the game.
History shows it don't matter where the panthers or chooks are on the comp, it always a tough gamme and I think you guys have the wood on us. In saying that,iI'm loving the culture our young coach has brought to our club.
Anyway, I hope its the best news possible for big Sam.

Expected changes for the match with mckendry likely to be out?

Do we see a centre brought in with brown to lock and plum to prop?
Or
Mose to start?
Or
Plum to prop and Nathan smith to lock?

Well Plum will be prop either way.

If Tighe's fit he's in. Brown to lock.
Smith in if he's fit.

If neither Cherrington in. I assume Docker lock bench of: Seg, Masoe, Newton, Cherrington.

Docker/Newton can play as the 2nd interchange prop.

You would be crazy not to play Cherro & big Mossy against their old Club. Injury free Cherro could have been anything.
I hope neither play of course :)
