Applied Game Theory
Written By: Mixmastereece
Word Count: 751

An interesting theory, but the article itself felt a little disjointed. Did well considering the word count constraints.

Score: 82 (80 after word count penalty)

Unpredictable

Word Count: 745

A match report on New Zealand's upset win over the Storm.

Under Pressure
Written By: jesbass
Word Count: 747

A brilliantly crafted piece on the pressure of finals football, with liberal but effective use of quotations. Really enjoyed it.

What's in a Name?
Written By: Polar Bob
Word Count: 749

A humorous look at our consumer driven society and its potential effect on rugby league. Reminded me of Jennifer Government by Max Barry.

Score: 87

TOTAL: 342

South Sydney Rabbitohs
On the Turning Away
Written By: Pistol
Word Count: 742

A well written piece about the Turner affair. A few spelling errors let you down..

Score: 87

League of Gladiators
Written By: Crusher
Word Count: 750

An interesting take on a match report, although needlessly wordy at times. It got just a little confusing.

Score: 81

My Decline
Written By: Clevo
Word Count: 749

One fan's battle to stay interested in rugby league, and I can't say that I don't relate. A well written piece.

Score: 90

Eyes on the Prize Saw Their Demise

As a lifetime hater of the Sharks, I derived a great deal of pleasure from this article.

Score: 87

Scouts or Humanitarians
Written by: vippo19
Word Count: 750

An intriguing read about a topic that doesn't get a lot of play in rugby league circles. Highlights the healing power of rugby league as well as focussing on a community I'd not heard of.

Score: 85

TOTAL: 430

South Sydney Rabbitohs 430 def New Zealand Warriors 342

MOM: jesbass (Warriors)

Apologies for the delay guys

Just wanted to clarify my marking of Crusher's article, in case it's caused some confusion. The use of language was very well done with regards to the time period you were attempting to capture, but as a piece about league I thought it perhaps sacrificed a little in order to be true to the style you'd written in. As a result, it became a little difficult to read at points.

Don't be put off by the score at all, you were brave enough to attempt something different and it didn't pay off as expected. But please God, don't become one of the people who posts a match report in 'traditional' style every week. The writing quality was most certainly there, it's just about finding a balance between styles.

thanks CW

and please to not take any comments personally. I appreciate the efforts you make in the F7's and I will be making a point of making it more 'league' and less lingual in the context of the F7's

cheers for the feedback
