OK, maybe not. The Souths team, despite their current ladder position, seems to be more competitive this year. Injuries are not helping their cause though.
The Rabbitohs travel to Penrith for a Mothers Day clash against a Panthers outfit that is still in a rut.
PANTHERS - Returned to the winners circle last week with an unconvining win over the Tigers. At times, they show why they are the defending premiers, but at other times were quite ordinary. Some individual flashes of brilliance seem to get them across the line - as a team, they are struggling a bit. But it looks like they are not too far away from regaining their form. One game may be all it takes.
RABBITOHS - After a whirlwind start to the season, find themselves in familiar territory again. But they are an enthusiastic bunch, and stretched the Knights up in Newcastle in their last start, before going down in the last 20 minutes. If the opposition are switched off, these plucky bunnies can be a pest.
Predicting a result is not as clear cut as it seems. Penrith will go into this match as overwhelming favourites, and Souths will probably have a large-ish start on the FootyTab.
But the Panthers will have a number of players backing up from the City-Country clash, so this could drag them back a bit.
Panthers by 10.
