Totally agree with you on this Possum and others whom have noticed the same . Mr Simms intensity has dropped off , rather dramatically .

He appears that he is content watching Packer and Vaughan and co. making the hard yards and when he go on , he just does not seem to be going anywhere near full pace ( as he did last year ) .

I hope Mary whacks him with the ' big stick ' and explain to him in no uncertain terms , that there are younger players ' chomping on the bit ' , just waiting for a chance in the top 17 .

The Dragons can not afford to carry any passengers in the forwards , for fatigue is bound to set in sometime during the season .

Bit harsh on him.
Last year he was playing 2nd row and this year changed to front row rotation which is, and he even stated it in an interview, that it is a whole different game for him. He's still learning and from what I've seen he's doing ok, not flash, but holding his own in that position.
Last week he had 10 runs for 100m and made 22 tackles in his 39 mins (Packer 11 runs 108m and LAM 11 runs and 102m).

Good points, Sims has been solid but we're not seeing the potency we saw last year, especially in the red zone.

Perhaps I have been over critical of his performances , however as you have pointed out the change in position from 2nd row to front row , may be a bit of a learning curve which he will grasp soon . Your stats certainly prove that he is holding his own .

When I see Vaughan and Packer charging onto the ball with such aggression , I had expected Simms to do likewise , more so with the knowledge that his time on the field is of a relatively shorter duration than the main front rowers .

Last year you could see the determination on his face , but this season it seems to be missing .

The key to a win today will be if Mann and McCrone can work together and capitalize on the efforts of our forward pack. Will McCrone help his new partner or try to steal the show - Mann is his main rival for the coveted halves position remember.

As unlikely as it seems I going with a Dragons win by 16 points. I woke up this morning and virtually the first thing that popped into my head was " we're going to towel them up ". I'm sticking with it.

Go Saints !

Is Friz allowed to touch the Ref today as Captain? A Captains touch?

Would tackling Smith qualify as touching a Ref?

As for the Bunker....we all know what hapenned to Adolf.

Ref is killing us...Soft penalties to the storm...Debelin regathered the ball he calls knock on and Storm score. Absolute rubbish refereeing.
