Totally agree with Gus on this one. Massive fan of Mann since i saw him in the flesh playing up here in the QLD Cup......he was on another level compared to anyone else on the field in the couple of games i watched him play (0ne of those was against Redcliffe who had a pretty decent side at the time).

Just hope Mary gives him enough time to settle in to the role and doesn't discard him if he is not an instant match winner.

NRL.com preview is tipping Storm by 14.

Bollocks. Widdop is a blow but even after Tuesday's punishing game, we are better than 14 point losers. Vunivalu has me worried but we easily have the talent to pound Storm if our minds are in the game.

Rant: Melbourne may be full of Qlders but I cant stand the way Bellyache has them coached to flaunt the spirit of the game by twisting players back on themselves, fouls in their own twenty to stall play and break attacking momentum - I really don't know how they can all live with themselves playing the way they do. I could say worse but kids could be reading this.

Hard to be confident going in to this game. No Widdop, A bruising encounter 5 days earlier, The Storm wrestle slowing down our usual momentum and the dodgy Cecchin running the show - he won't penalise Smith holding down players for an eternity and he'll help Storm out should we start getting on top - guaranteed.

Yep not confident with this game.. I think it will be very close though...

Confidence. I just hope we have confidence tomorrow. It is everything to this team.

I think of Kurt Mann. I wonder how he is feeling with such big boots to fill. He's played well against his old side before but never with the number six on his back. I believe in his ability, and i'd like to think he and McCrone will do a solid job together.

Melbourne won't take us lightly. They'll come ready and prepared, but if we have confidence in our ability we can win this, and really stamp our authority in the competition leading into the nasty rep period. A big crowd will go along way to giving us confidence.

GO THE MIGHTY DRAGONS!!
