Very very poorly officiated.
It was 16 nil on the back of bad calls alone. No issues in the lead up yo their 4th though.
The fix was on early; you can usually tell when chanel 9 commentators are havin a froth fest.

Anyway, we haven't exactly looked inspiring with ball in hand. The teams fault we're down; Chetin's fault we're down 18.

Against the Eels and Storm we need to use Frizell and Thompson as centres in defence. Our backline is a turnstile and Mac Donald comes in too much.Lafai is the only three-quarter who properly defends. The other three are shithouse.I

Look Im not biased enough to admit that Melbourne are a well drilled outfit and have punched holes in our very suspect defense....and are a good side...BUT surely the powers to be MUST see that Melbourne are continually given not only the 50/50 calls but blatant calls that favour them....its been happening for years now and its time that opposition coahes and officisls had it out with the NRL

Aitken to bench,Milne on. Mann doing ok. Happy to be surprised at that. Gus called it.

The Franchise teams have different rules applied to them as we can all see week in week out for the last decade. The NRL likes
it that way.
Of course Wayne thinks the bunker do a great Job lol


But really in the end Aitken s decision making is the problem here. Otherwise we would be in this game despite officials best efforts against us.

Don't for a minute believe that Mary has not ordered the old, same old, up and in defence. I've been saying it for a while now, some day a good coach will catch our outside men out with a long pass or a kick.

Want to see a real live reason why we should not sign Mary, just replay this game. It has Mary's game plan written all over it.

Hook Aitken, send Milne out. Have the outside backs hold their line and mark up. tell our edge forwards to combine with the halves and De Belin to plug the holes on the edge.

Smart coaching to expose our weakness in the 3/4 line . Aitken is not a top grade centre and can't read defence . And Nighty is just to slow and good fast wingers will wipe the floor with him .

Kurt Mann looks very dangerous at 5/8 and for some reason we just go right to McCrone time and time again . When Widdop comes back Mann should never be out of this backline again . Far as I am concerned he is streets ahead of Aitken and Nighty .

Quality teams like Melbourne will always expose our compressed defence. It's not just Aitken, our wingers and centres are coached to come off their line and rush the attacking players. It's an all or nothing play that we do too often and good teams will ALWAYS take advantage of it by creating the overlap which he have seen multiple times already. It's not hard to adjust.
