If he wasnt his son's father he would be under a bit of pressure by now you would think
On the back of 5 Grand Final apperances in a row, i think not. Especially when the cattle has changed signifcantly and our juniors are being stolen behind our back.

Yeah...but you ARE bringing up the rear of this softest comp ...you've lost the heart of your team in Jarome and Fish plus what's gone unnoticed is you had perfected the momentum buiding...6 again "tunnel ball" ( IY the best at it) ...now that it's being policed and penalized it's stopped the formerly unstoppable pantherball in it's tracks...you've been reduced to having to play like....well...like most everyone else. I've watched all of your games and I do think you're on skinny odds if you think all it will take is shaking off the cobwebs.

By round 9-10 the contenders usually announce themselves. Can you name who is going to win the 2025 premiership?

The rest isn't worth responding to. You need to go back and watch 2020-2024 first.

I think we need to bench Leota and Sorenson. We are losing games in the first 20 minutes and are not the team to chase points. Henry, Smith and Garner starting aren’t going to win us games but they are our most reliable forwards after Yeo. Go into the second quarter 6 or less down for once and we can play the game on our terms. Leota and Papali’i have looked solid best when the side is on the front foot and a steady first 20 could give them that situation.

Putting Garner and To’o outside McLean/Talagi should help also. McLean can defend fine as he’s showed in first grade last year we just need to put him in a better situation than a noted poor defensive rookie 5/8, a past it prop and a reserve graderfor an edge.

We’re still outlasting every team, we just need to be within a try when the tables start to turn. Tighten it up and play our game and we’re not as far off the best sides as it looks.

I think that's probably the way Ivan will go.

Let's play a game we'll guess over/under on season ending knee injuries seeing as we play on Sunday. I'll set the line at 2.5 and I'll go overs.

Bit of a concern.

Not just the state of the ground by Sunday. But the fact we will need to go hard out in a must win game. Plus the bye comes in a fortnight. We've got no reason to hold anything in reserve here.

I don't intend to sully this forum by posting Super Rugby 'highlights' (QLD vs NSW last Friday after the Broncos game on Thursday night). But I had a quick skim through the footage and the ground didn't look so good.

It looked a bit better for the A-League match on Saturday 26th. But its soccer.

Anyone recall the injury count for last years Magic round?

Still not a team in this comp I actually fear. Get a coupla wins in the bag, a bit of confidence, and we'll walk this comp home. Lock it in.
let Brisbane put 50 on us this weekend at magic round if this is to happen

there'd be a few major records being broken and the tears would be delicious as ever

Just for some perspective:

2017 Round 9 - 2 wins/7 losses (Finished 7th)

2019 was the same (2 wins/7 losses) and we finished 1 win outside the 8.

Putting a line through at round 9 on a much better team than the two squads above is premature.

Its a positive but they'll be playing international football anyway.
Exactly where we were at this time in 2019. 2 wins from 8, 2 more to come then a 7 game winning run. By round 18 we were 7th then the wheels fell off.

One difference that year was the players we brought in after moving on Blake and DWZ:

Brent Naden
Mitch Kenny
Liam Martin

These guys were a breath of fresh air. Full of enthusiasm.

What is needed isn't so much a champion half, as a hard working pack of forwards. Moses especially needs a sports psychologist. We've all seen what he can do.
cant help but feel Bizza also hasnt been at his best in 2025 - granted he has had hammy issues

could it be that Bizza & Moses are abit flat or down on energy not having their boys around - we all know how close Bizza is with Critta, Romey, Spenny & Tito (honorary Samoan :p) , the same Moses is close with JFH
