With Cup in Penrith on Sunday, the only two in the 22 man NRL squad not named in Cup being Patea and Laurie, and Sorenson now out, you’d have to think we would take more than 18 guys to Brisbane.

Hope Mav can show he’s taken a big step forward and replicate his Cup form. We need some forward to come from the clouds and make a difference.

Mav is a reserve grader who can adequately fill in at NRL level in small stints when the rest of the team is playing well.

Expecting anything more is just hopium at this point.

Yep he is average.

Does anyone think that Penriths formula of keeping the ball in play, a fast game and good kick chase has been hampered by all the penalties this year slowing the game up and giving opponents time to rest?
I'd say it is why sides aren't getting gassed and you aren't running over the top of them anymore.
That along with the loss of Turuva, Jfh and Luai.

I don't think Casey,Talagi or m Papali'i have offered what most where hoping. While all 3 may end up great by end of season none are right now. Edwards and Martin's form is also poor.
