Who is going to get all the blame this week lads? Of the usual whipping boys Uate was good and Mullen didn't play.

Hokko got outplayed by a debutant. Ross dropped more balls than he caught.

Sione and Pat missed 11 tackles between them, Gagai missed another 4, Levi missed 5...

Tariq and Hodko do not deserve to be captains either. Give it to Jez on his own. He's the only one putting in and trying to lead despite being on less than half the money of the other 2.

This is my biggest beef with Hodko. I knew he was useless, but it's the fact we could have gone and found the best young half looking for a chance, spent half the money, and been ahead on both counts. He's just such a predictable flop. In year two and three we will only regret his signing more than we already do.

The only way it was ever going to be remotely different (and it's an out I give to anyone that actually wanted him here), was if it made Mullen better. Between Hodko and Brown, Mullen has gone backwards massively.

As much as it seems we're all giving Brown a free pass for the moment, I must admit I'm wondering what the f**k he's actually coaching them to do out there, other than be very bad and make basic football look like the most impossible thing in the world.

This entire f**king club can get in the f**king sea.

Anyone over 200/250k isn't giving us anything in return for their value bar perhaps Sione (tonight was poor but overall he's been good); bunch of f**king pea hearted performances. Anyone under that is pretty much wasting their time at the club and their potential is going down the drain. It's a shame because if they had just two seasons at clubs like Melbourne, Brisbane, Canterbury etc they would be top tier talent. Instead, they're going to be long forgotten in that time frame, their confidence shot and just another list of "could have beens" this f**king piss stain of a club could have had but ultimately ruined.

Pretty much done. Much better things I can do with my time than sitting down putting myself through this. Might delete the FB page so I don't get reminded every time.

The only difference between Brown and Stone is that Brown has blooded young talent and well deserving players. Otherwise, the culture still f**king sucks, it's still a f**king mess.

Also, how long has it been since a team has "won" 3 spoons in a row? I think we're pretty solidly locked for 2, and next year isn't looking any better at the moment.

I suppose I give the same out because the intentions were good. I honestly don't understand it for anyone who ever watched Hodko play. Mullen and Hodkinson together screams mediocre. No idea where the optimism came from. But it is what it is, we're stuck with at least one of them.

Mullen would have copped the blame for tonight even if he was only out there for 10 mins.
We missed his defence. We also missed Randell out there.
This was Hodko's chance to step up and he failed. He's the same way below standard every week.
Unless Brown has some real plans I can't see him lasting. He can only work for now with what he has been handed but I agree he isn't being tough enough. Seems to be babying the young guys too much and not expecting enough from the more experienced players. Tariq and Hodko as captains was a joke from the start.
We don't have anywhere to go from here this season. We will end up setting us up to struggle more and more.
Buy a half in if we can. About the best we can do.

I thought it may have that effect, but still didn't want him. Why pay big dollars for a run of the mill plodder? Makes no sense. It's our most recent signing, and it's one of our absolute worst.

I know they're young and they're up against it, but surely the boys could at least work on the simple things like holding onto the ball, tackling the guy in front of them, and not giving away penalties for lying around in the ruck.

Surely.

I don't understand the Newcastle style of defence, sliding all to time and mainly grabbing with the arms is not going to put fear in the opposition. Getting carried down field 70 metres everytime the opposition has the ball for six tackles is not going to win many games. Watch the number of times they hard to work it out of their own twenty when they got the ball. It just burn juice, what not use some of that juice with a more attacking defensive line that limits the oppositions gains in attack. More aggression with shoulders ( knights must think they banned shoulders in tackles when its shoulder chargers that are banned) and more legs tackles.

Watch the kenny dowell run (I think) when every Knight palyer (6 or 7 of them) went high and was brushed off, Hodkinson was the only one who stopped him with a legs tackle. Until they get better at defence, nothings going to change.

Predictable but sad none the less.

We are rubbish and whilst we all hope that things are getting better, they aren't.

Tonight I get a strong feeling that we aren't going to last as a NRL club. We will disappear or have to merge with the CC bears.

Paid 10/1. At least this team provides solid weekly betting propositions. Hope you got on.

I've suggested to the TAB via Twitter they might as well pay out the Knights winning 0-6 games for the season now...

Can't believe they offered $7.20 on it!

I think most of the team has given up on the season already.

This is where Brown's credentials will be judged. We know we have a shit team that won't win many games, but how many will they give their best efforts in.
