Firstly, well done to France knocking Argentina out, just way too good and far too much pace and athleticism for Argentina to handle. Mbappe looks like a superstar, I think Argentina is in for a long rebuild period.

Does anyone else struggle to watch some of these European teams like Denmark/Russia that just sit back and hope to score goals off set pieces/corners/throw ins? Commentator was saying that if Russia played any further back they'd have to buy tickets to get back into the stadium!

I was talking more amongst casual fans, it’s all they remember him for, the guy was an absolute genius and dragged Italy into a final they had no right being in, shame I think he played injured in the final too from memory

Compare Neymar screeching like a stuck pig to Yow Yeh. Dude had a compound fracture and bone sticking through his sock but didn’t carry on like that.

He's in the discussion, but the likes of Zoff, Maldinin, Baresi, Meazza, Facchetti, Rossi, Rivera, Scirea, Riva and others all have claims...

Aside from Pele, Best, Dalglish, Puskas, Laudrup and a few others not many countries where football is a serious business (not sure Scotland and Ireland count there) where you can unequivocally name a greatest player - even Ronaldo and Messi aren't unanimous - actually for the Argies Maradona clearly a better international footballer.
