Penisini is most certainly not a bum.

Similar to tago dont play 100 nrl games at his age and be a bum. I think in a good team hed be a top 6 centre in the comp
I think the conversation was about Will's younger brother, Richard (dick?).

Lomax is a good player, just seems like he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and is poorly managed. I don't really think he is a bad guy or disruptive etc. In saying that I wouldn't want him using up cap space better spent elsewhere.

While it was a good win there is still a long way to go.The broncos missed many opportunities with dropped ball if the passes stick we have a lot closer game.
The sharks will move us around a lot .we need to take them on up the middle a gain good feild position they are the red hot team at the moment.A win here gets us off to a great start to the season

I've heard Parra are interested and I actually think he will end up at the Eels. He has his flaws and I am not that keen but he is still far better then Kelly,Peninsi and Russel.
Unsung hero of the 24 GF. Storm kept running at him, and he kept stopping them. But like everyone says, his form is extremely variable.

Considering the conditions, which rendered the football into a cake of soap, I thought the Panthers performed well. We won round one last year, but the difference here was we defended like the Black Wall of old. Rusty? Sure, but fit and well drilled in defence. Attack can be built on as combinations improve.

The Good
The defence
Our fitness.
Cogger slotting back in like he never left.
Dylan running around with ease and looking fitter than ever.
Casey defending Staggs-woof! He might be really good when he grows into his body…..
Milky. The first time we are a genuine threat in the air since the days of “Bomber” Walsh and Lachlan Coote. Why would you drop Milky?

The Bad
A lot of dropped ball and the attack was clunky.
Going needs to change his running style. He runs upright, like he is trying to offload and use his strong upper body to wrestle free. That might work in NSW cup, but everybody is stronger at NRL level and it just reduces his go forward. Focus on hitting the line hard and stop trying to wrestle in the tackle and offload. Repeat after me “I am not Payne Haas”.

The Ugly
Fighting in the stands. Just no. RL gameday is for families to enjoy, not a battleground for thugs.

The conditions were oppressive sitting high up in the stand I can only imagine how tough things were out on the field. Sure we were a bit clunky and made our fair share of errors but a terrific result.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but saw the boys in the hotel at lunchtime before the game and they really looked up for it and focussed.

Line defence on both edges looked bad. Scramble and commitment looked good. Alamoti looks like a winger playing center but hasn't had much time there and may come good.

We've played the Broncos 3 times within a year all away and we've won 5 from 6 halves and cumulative we're 72 points to 24. We're so much better but I suppose it's not their fault they fell into a premiership, and they're kind of heroes in a way because if it wasn't them it'd have been the Storm.

I thought our edges looked so good in defence. Best I’ve seen from us in a long time.

There seems to be universal support for trying Tago in the back row but does anyone have concerns that he has lost his ability to break a tackle?

First couple of seasons Tago was breaking tackles for fun in the centres and since that peck injury a few years ago I can't remember him breaking a game open.

It would be good to have a different option in the second row but if he has already peaked at centre, would we expect his form to return in a new position?

I think we use Tago off the bench as a hybrid sort of forward, I’d like to see what he can offer in the middle even.
I am certain he played there and nailed it

Are you thinking of the 18-2 game at home? 1999/2000 somewhere around there.

I remember Girds kicking one from the sideline and fireworks going off after the game.
Yes remember that one back in 2000. It was one of the few times we beat the Broncos in that era and for a fairly ordinary defensive team we defended really well that night.

The return game in Brisbane in 2000 was quite the turnaround IIRC.
