I’m in Perth for five weeks and left before the deluge struck. Has there been much wind to assist in drying the ground? I know our playing surface is basically the best in the NRL but was sort of hoping for a dry track.

I don't know about Penrith but on the central coast it's storming right now.

Thursday night games are great for the TV audiences, not so great for crowds, hopefully good weather and a 10,000 or so crowd would be nice.

Just got to the red cow. Penriths pretty warm and dry right now. Should be a goodun.

There's a difference between intentionally doing it to hurt and taking the risk that someone might get hurt if things are pushed too far.

I disagree in regards to the Ju jitsu techniques we have seen from them. These are martial arts techniques, they exist to hurt. I don’t think you can step onto footy field and use one of these techniques and then step back and say “I didn’t mean to hurt him” if someone gets injured, if you meant to use martial arts in a footy game then are trying to hurt someone.

Panthers have firmed considerably on the betting markets. Now $1.70, Storm $2.15. Can't remember ever starting favourite against this opponent.

The rain was just passing. I was in the city at 3 and it hit and went over and got sunny again, then I drove up to the coast and caught up with the rain, now the sun is back out here also.

I think those odds are probably reasonably accurate, but I’m just not into two team sports betting. Love a day at the races and a punt on the horses but I rarely have a bet on a two team game outcome.

There were some amazing punting stories around Leicester City when they won the EPL in 2016. Odds of 5,000 to 1 were taken by a few of there fans prior to the season starting. From memory one of there fans had a 100 pounds on them but cashed out with for or five rounds to go. Still collected a huge dividend for his investment, just not anywhere near the original dividend. Great story, probably never happen again.

I'm not either, in fact I never bet, but I think its interesting to follow the odds in the lead up to a match.

Brandy on fox now saying Jerome is sliding into Clearys role tonight and Burton will play in Jeromes spot on the left side. Interesting to see Jerome as the main controlling half.

Just saw it myself. Maybe ducks & drakes tactic. Gordie tried to suss Brandy out.
