Matty E is a goood defender who doesn't mind a few dirty carries.

Nestra Jubilee is a tricky ground to play at.

my only concern for big e is he gets tired pretty quickly and seems to just plod. This is also the game for spencer to stand up and have a real crack. Outside of the grand final i haven't really seen much of his exceptional running he had at the start of his career.

He quoted the article. That's what the comment was about. The fact you originally posted the article is irrelevant. If you add context he was making a joke to @Smug Panther about Lang thinking Ivan is clever with the mind games when Smug calls Ivan out about how dumb it is constantly. Unless you ghost wrote the story for Peter Lang then I don't know how you could come to the conclusion it was a dig at you.

If he wants to be a starter, he needs to do the hard work in the middle and lay claim to it. If he doesn't, especially given he's not exactly a guarantee on the bench under IC, he could see himself somewhere else come seasons end.

He is 21 and playing as a prop. I am sure he is very high on IC's list, but we don't want to break him. He will get plenty of chance to play games during his career. When Leota goes to sleep at night, he dreams of being as good as Spencer can be. The consistency will come with experience.

If you go and read some of the analysis done on spencer at the Rugby League Eye Test sight, you will be amazed to find that Spencer topped the runs per minute stats (measured for time on the field so not impacted by low minutes) for the entire NRL, in spite of low involvement at the end of the season.

In the 2020 season Spencer was in the top 20 players for runs and tackles per minute. He is a gun. Just a bit green is all.

I couldn’t disagree more. 80% just isn’t good enough. We should be looking to perform the very best we can, if we don’t then there is no guarantee about the result. If the Dragons play at 100% at we play at 80% there will be only one outcome. A loss.
