This thread being 8 weeks or whatever old, containing facts AND predictions is just a f**kin mess.......let old threads die a natural death and ffs start new ones when we get new info.

Whats up with you Todger....got a thing for mega threads in your name it seems?

forum cop just likes things the way he does it
you see if they all posted in one thread he can filter in his favourites, bring up a thread, and post the relevent information before anyone else, so to look as though he is doing a great service to LU (or if he is beaten to the punch, he links them to his thread :roll: )

Yes, because it's all about appearances. :sarcasm:

My guess - jealousy ;-)

Yes becuase Canberra really deserve it? Yes Penrith have too many I agree but giving Canberra more for the sake of it would be equally as silly. All Nine care about is ratings!

It wasnt the same when we were in Manly's position back in 03, infact, winning our first 7 (correct me if im wrong) and we didnt get an FTA game until Rd 11.

More interesting players? Sterlo has big wraps on our young team, as does Matty Johns, and some others are starting to take notice, I know id rather watch a young team try different things than watch rabble like penrith and brisbane on free to air...........

Zillman and Carney I'll grant you but compare that to any other side. Neutral fans want to watch exciting players. I do however believe that each side should have a set number of FTA matches, say 5 a year. Then the other matches should be distributed based on ratings.

5 a year is reasonable.

5 X 16=90 games.

There are 3 games per week X 26 weeks= 86.

Then you will have some teams not get 5, but even if teams get 4 games on FTA I am sure there would be less fighting. My main concern is the fact that they don't do the whole schedule pre season. That is the one thing the AFL does well- decides all matches pre season.

:lol:
5x16=80
3x26=78

Well I got the maths wrong, not exactly my strongest subject. Point is exactly the same. Make the FNF and Sunday free to air matches before the season begins.

I think in the NRL pre-season scheduling can be more of a hindrance - due to erratic form, we could end with some totally dud FTA matches by the end of the year, and have bumper clashes relegated to 5:30pm Saturday.

:-s Weren't you just chastising a Raiders fan for believing they deserve more FTA, claiming they don't rate?

:roll: Stop talking now.
