This should get people pumped about Grant, just look at the way he can manipulate the defensive lines and set up tries

Watch the ones he sets up at 2:33 back to back, masterstroke. Given it’s only qld cup, but you can see why he’s rated.
Yea baby! An eye for the cut out pass, fearless runner has a step and kick ..This could hopefully lift the whole team to another level...we’ve been pissing around for so long at 9 ...excluding Farah ..

Just playing the devils advocate here, but he wont get a lot of those plays in the NRL, but he seems to read the play well.
Does anyone know what his defence is like?

Missed this somehow.

Yea it’s QLD cup however I believe the vision he shows setting up tries 1 out from the ruck cannot be coached and is just natural footballing ability.

Had something like 15 tries and 20+ assists for the year last year.

Even if he doesn’t reach those numbers we finally have a capable 80 min #9 that won’t be throwing bootlace passes *cough* ET. If he can just shovel good ball to Brooks and Marshall he’s already half way there

No idea on his defence but he’s a big body so that always helps

Haha such a stupid statement from Johns. The young fella has played 2 NRL games in 2 years. He'll hopefully fill a hole. Anything more is a bonus.
Maybe but EVERYONE is impressed with him and johns has to get it right eventually ...Im thinking IF Grant holds up his end Im more interested if AD can kill it at fullback..Then we’d have a top 6 chance

Wests Tigers are just king of the kids. Hoping boys straight out of school can win us another comp

It looks like Campbelltown stadium is one of the chosen grounds?

Campbelltown Stadium: Dragons, Tigers, Panthers, Raiders

But we don't get a game there in rounds 3 & 4, if I'm reading it correctly, only the NRL can organise this:)

Are you happy with making the semi finals 3 times in the last 20 seasons?
We have reason to expect the worst ...but younger guys than Grant have hit the international stage.Usually a good team takes time to assemble, There’s enough serious talent, right across this team now that we can expect good things, despite a bad day here and there. ..I’m pretty sure Benjis licking his lips

So in recent years we have usually started with the hard teams but looks like this year we finish with them

R15 - Roosters
R16 - Penrith
R17 - Manly
R18 - South Sydney
R19 - Melbourne
R20 - Parramatta

As usual the NRL dicks us around. Our original draw was pretty good, now it’s pretty trash...I think we’d be lucky to win 1 of them, maybe 2 max.

So we've gone from having purportedly one of the easiest draws before the pandemic to the most difficult. Makes sense.

Bring on 9th.

Hahaa as a team we genuinely can’t catch a break can we? The last 2 years we’ve had what’s been rated in the top few hardest draws then finally have some luck this year with the easiest. Then this happens and we get shafted with the hardest one :joy:

The four games we are no longer playing due to the new draw are: Dragons (H), Titans (H), Raiders (A), Sharks (H). We no longer have a road trip to NZ either.

I don't think it that bad. Dragons & Titans would (hopefully) have been wins, Raiders likely a loss with the Sharks game 50-50 (maybe 55-45 Sharks).

Finals is still there for the taking if we play well enough.
