RUBIN WIKI is likely to move to Wigan or Bradford in England after admitting to friends he couldnt face playing for another NRL team playing against the Raiders.

I don't understand how packing up and moving to England would be "What's best for [his] wife and kids". Wouldn't you think keeping his kids in Canberra with all their friends and the place they are familar with would be better for your family?

i think he's referring to the ridiculous some of money he would receive if he were to play in the UK. 250-300 000 pounds, nearly a million bucks in the aussie dollar. Thats got to help the wife and kids out.

To be honest with everyone I can't believe rubes is contemplating leaving the raiders especially with the role he plays in the club and the stature he is afforded by the fans.

make no mistakes about it Wiki is one of the raiders greats and it will be a shame if we lost him. Maybe no so much for his onfield contribution(although that is a BIG plus) but more for the guidence and leadership he would provide with youngsters like Carney, Graham, Weyman, kahler and Rothery coming through the ranks.

I am not sure what he gives he younger players. He is too quiet. They look up to him, but that is not the same as him coaching them.

Seems to me Elliott can't give specialist coaching for the backs and we need a series of specialist coaches to bring the players on. He seems to have admitted that by bringing Matthew Johns down to coach the halves during the week.

Is that true?
Has Johns been coming down to the raiders and coaching the halves?
Yeh i've noticed he has been tipping us as well.

loyalty is pretty much dead or at best a rarity. The salary cap doesn't help either. Money talks and i wish him the best in whatever decision he makes. He's provided great service to the club over many year's and he deserves respect and not to be questioned about what decision he makes.
I will still think your a champion muss..

Can we just clear this up for all the poms in here, its RUBEN not RUBIN.

And secondly its great to see that he wont ever play against the green machine, that makes me feel mighty safe, I cannot possibly imagine ever watching him play against the Raiders - I even named my dog Ruben!

It would be like that tragic time when Brad Clyde lined up in a bulldog jersey
