all the people talking about finding ways to avoid bans obviously haven’t read what the ban covers.

Any player that plays in an unsanctioned league is banned from the NRL for ten years. There is no prerequisite for that player to have formerly played in the NRL nor is there a prerequisite that player has to come directly from an NRL club. Players that have no intention of ever playing in the NRL will be automatically banned as well.

Can only assume by now it’s deliberate and they are trying to stay relevant in the off-season northern states media… there doesn’t appear a lot of real news about 360 to report though

It would not be a short term solution. Because any player that transfers from Japan or French RU to Rugby 360 will have a ten year ban in the NRL regardless if they ever had intentions on playing in the NRL ever.

I guarantee the ban is all a bluff to try and prevent players from leaving in the first place. It's a sure bet that every quality r360 union rebel wanting to try their luck in the nrl will be " individually assessed" and welcomed with open arms.

Just read article on Foxsports with the manager of RTS saying they had been negotiating with R360 but had not received the long-form contract. Couldn't care either way either way, but didn't PVL say anyone talking to R360 will get a 10 year ban? Will the NRL follow through with their threat?

It actually defies logic to think that this comp will take place. The whole concept up until now is so f**king flaky.
Thery are meant to start October next year. Sooooo many aspects around setting up a comp are simply not in place.
The NRL bans won't be the reason why players won't go to R360. The flimsy proposal will be the ultimate factor.
