I tweeted Voss to ask this question. Hopefully he'll either give an insight to the game making process, or he'll start saying FINUCARNAY every time he commentates a Storm game.

Well it worked with their RLL 2 International version. Same game just a few addons & a full game price tag. All the sheeple bought it so Bigant decided to do it again with RLL3 but this time the sheeple wont get lube.

Yeah! Screw all the sheeple for supporting one of Australia's few games companies and the only one in the world engaged in trying to recreate our favourite sport in digital form!

Seriously, every game company does that... EA Sports yearly sports titles are generally little more than roster updates and palette swaps that charge $100 a pop.

They released RLL2 as three different editions, the original, the WCE with international teams that were coded into the original, but held back for some reason, and the hilarious "GOTY" which gave you a roster update... Which most sports titles do for free. That's hardly the same as a yearly FIFA.

Oh, and I'm still trying to find out who considers RLL2 to be Game of the Year from 2012.

Yes & the sheeple have ensured that it will continue. If they stopped then the game companies would as well. But you continue being a sheeple & supporting aussie companies that offer up half assed products at full price.
I vote with my wallet.

if you had the original RLL2, u didn't need to buy WCE or GOTY, u could have just patched it for $12. released as DLC, better than paying $89 for a new game that EA force upon you.

On 31 May, Tru Blu Entertainment announced Rugby League Live 2 would receive an update to the game. The 2013 Season Pack developed by Melbourne’s, Big Ant Studios will feature 2013 Team Kits, complete player roster updates, addition of new 2013 competitions, 2013 stadia, sponsors and a number of other features and improvements.
The update is to be released on 19 June 2013 as a DLC which can be purchased via the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 for around $12.

Oh jesus christ, I feel sorry for any kid whose parents could only afford the one game that year cause if RLL2 was your GOTY.....You poor bastard.

So you still had to pay for something every other sports game does for free. This DLC also didn't include the WCE, you had to buy the game for that. I even remember people asking on their forums if it would be DLC, and getting told no.

no. read the wiki link. u got new stadia, new draw, new jerseys, new rosters and gameplay improvements for $12. EA make u pay $89 for the same.

so the 'sheeple' were not forced to buy the game 3 times. if they wanted to play world cup mode that had to purchased the WCE. otherwise a simple $12 DLC kept you up to date. if you bought the game 3 times, u are a complete fool.

Not that I ever played it or bought it, but yeah I thought one of the main criticisms of RLL1 was that it lacked any sort of career/franchise mode. I thought it had a season mode, but was just a once-off season playthrough?

Yeah I still remember getting the game, playing a match (convinced myself it was awesome). Posted about it. Then played another game and then said it was the shittest game to grace my console lol. Bought and returned on the same day lol.

The only good part of RLL was the kicking game was decent, your wingers could actually attack the ball in the air and I think it had tap backs, RLL2 kicking game was piss poor.
