Down wollongong way

North Wollongong Pub

Or Towradgi beach hotel

Only pubs worth looking at down here for league. Both venues epic for origin when they have the big screens out
Steelers have the TAB area with lots of screens albeit a touch too bright. Dicey Rileys (a mick pub next to Wollongong rail) have a big wall screen, with pints of Killkenny on Friday's for $6. Collegians Club across from Wollongong Bunnings has a decent sized screen with great seating arrangements(schooners $5.60),but a club that doesn't put up with football Wally f**ck-wits.

Shellharbour Workers Club is the best club in the IIllwarra...the sports bar/TAB is currently having renovations. Been told the outfit is going to be very spectacular although there is another part of the club with a GIGANTIC screen.

Wests Illawarra in Unanderra have a brilliant set up for football fans with a giant screen plus smaller screens dotted around various locations.

The Open Hearth Hotel in Warrawong, has multiple HD screens.

Warilla Bowling club has a range of screens.Undergoing minor renovations ATM.

Just moved to Newcastle for work.

Any advice on where to watch the GF next week?

**2020 bump**

This wasn't a bad idea but kind of trailed off on it.

Any good pub shouts for watching footy - big screens, sound up.

Every time I went on Thursday or Friday nights after work last year the Crows Nest Hotel had the games on. Projector screen and sound on, cheap beers and good food. Very good option for the north sydney/shore folks.

Watch the AFL Grand Final at Coogee bay hotel last year. Liked the venue, big screen, plenty of beer options. Didn't try the food though.

Though I'm sure it's been discussed in this thread

Gladesville Sporties has become my go to with a few mates, be it origin or club game.
Plenty of space, good food & never a hint of trouble.

Good bump

New shout for anyone staying in CanBrah in the city. Bleachers on Northbourne. Not saying it's the best pub or anything, but well worth a look on footy nights. Downside is it's a bit small and fills up quickly on big sports nights.

US style sports bar. A thousand screens and the main screen is literally larger than any external wall on my four bedroom house. On Raiders game days the place is absolutely buzzing, which is cool. Always solid to very good beer taps and the (American bar style) food is pretty good.

They've even started pushing a big screen outside for those sitting out there.

In Sydney CBD,

Level 2 of the CBD hotel is a great spot. Big wonder wall and other screens about. They’ve done a top job converting it to a sports bar. As for watching footy... great for Thursday/Friday night and origin games. Forget weekends.

Get in early if you want a beer / lunch on a Friday.
I was there last week and just after midday was a huge rush in..
