i love seeing those "best line-ups" in rlw and then the real team that looks nothing like it.

personally, i would pick hayne ahead of burt for fullback. i think ben smith needs to be in the centres mainly for his defence (he may go ok as a wide running 2nd rower).

reddy or etu (maybe burt) ahead of tautai on the wing. though in saying that tautai may well improve out of sight in the off-season and carve up 09)

from the bench i wouldn't have a back-up hooker. i've said plenty of times before i think it's a waste of an interchange.

where the hell is paulo in that line up???? i'm sure most would agree we looked better last season when he played. surely he would be in our top 17.

benny to the centres, hayne to fullback, burt to wing, tautai to start year in wenty i think, hauraki to start 2nd row. Then again anderson has last say, so im probably totally wrong to. In anderson we trust

Before the season starts how about we start a thread with our favoured team,see how close anyone comes to the actual side...and ron no you cant have hayne playing 1/2 5/8 centre and FB...

Ben Smith has to be in there in the centres. At least to start the season.

Hayne to FB, Burt or Reddy to Wing, Tautai out.

I would start Cordoba and Bench Moimoi, as I believe he has a better impact off the bench.

It all depends how people train in the coming four months, and perform in the trials.

I'm happy to leave DA to pick the side he thinks will go best for Round 1.

We have too many backs that are all capable of first grade selection - it means some are going to miss out at the start of the year, but is good for injury and rep duty cover as the season plans out.

I think we lack a bit of quality/depth in the forwards... but here's hoping some of the average types step up big time and make a name for themselves.

B Smith in the backrow was part of Hagans 'Master Plan' just like Pig at 5/8, DA will ensure he isn't anywhere but centre where we need him, and if there were to be a back play in the fowards it would be Tautai, he has the right pyshique etc to be utilised in the backrow.
