Rule Changes

I see they are changing a few rules including less scrums & stopping the clock during every stoppage in play in the last 5 minutes.

No prizes for guessing who that will hurt the most!

I tipping double the games we will throw away in the last 5 this year. We had it down-pat now they have made it easier for us. ;-)

Give it a few more seasons and they'll all be wearing tags on their shorts. That's the way it's heading.

I take not they have included an extra tackle for the 20mtr taps... does that mean we get 8 tackles now?

These changes are very smart! Halts a lot of the spoiling tactics employed by Bennett's st george, melbourne, last year's roosters... I think we'll see fairer play as a result and I reckon it'll be advvantageous for us

They should stop the clock for every conversion. Not this last 5 minutes crap.

I agree stopping the clock all conversions. 90 second time limit. exclusions for wind blowing ball off tee. If dont kick in the allocated time, you lose the shot. Allows for 45 second commercial slot.

That's a great idea. Better then slapping clubs with a pissy fine after the event.

The appointed so called experts that run this going are pushing it towards touch or oz tag.

Keep this thought when looking at the rule changes.

Most of the rules except the goal kicking rule is designed to eliminate the stoppages in play and time wasting - Correct?

OK Why are there time wasting and stoppages..... Generally this would be because teams need a breather or time to get back on side etc... Deliberate time wasting..

Isn't this an indication that the game is too fast already and they are looking at making it faster..

WRONG WAY FELLAS.

We should be looking at slowing the game down. Reduce the interchange and change the structure of the player that needs to player ie SBW. This will bring back more skill and more excitment to the game.

The should just go back to the body contact sport that was once called rugby league. Problem solved.

Its amazing the clock is still not stopped for goal kicks, I mean how obvious is it?

They tried this years ago, and some day games starting at 3 were finishing in the dark.

The issue with this is that when you have rolling live games there is possibility they will have to hold 2nd game awaiting conclusion to 1st

Player burnout also has to be considered, with the clock stopping more regularly for goal kicks, every game will be the length of a golden point game.

I dont remember that &

Who cares if the 2nd game is late. It just waits.
