There's no major fullback signing coming from the ESL. Warriorholic is just reacting to the same speculation we all see.

When was the last time a fullback from the ESL truly made it big in the NRL? Pretty much never.

We need a fast, reliable winger, so if that's the case, I might be open to the idea. However, I can't think of anyone from England that I'd genuinely want, though I don't follow the ESL, so others might have better suggestions.

Are there any top-tier fullbacks in the ESL right now who aren’t former NRL players?

Forwards tend to transition better from the ESL, but NRL backs are on another level.

I’d take Ponga, but this feels more like a bargaining tactic than a realistic move.

Tuaupiki and RTS provide solid cover if Charnze is unavailable.

I saw on tik tok that we cnk was going to super league and we were making a play for ponga. (Since they might not be able to fit brown and ponga in under their cap).

Also tmm to Leigh I saw aswell. That Seems a waste. He should be in our squad.

I don’t think his post suggested the player was from ESL, if that’s what you mean.

And yea, I cant think of anyone there that would be “as interesting as it gets” as warriorholic describes it anyway.

The only big name current/potential fb that’s off contract next year is Cobbo, but he has a real boom or bust vibe about him… could immediately make us a top 4 team, or he could ruin our cap for the next several years.

I cant see Ponga being a realistic target for anyone at the moment. Even if he's open to somehow exiting his contract, IMO he'll give it at least a year to see how things go with Brown first.

I saw a post that the Warriors were planning their biggest signing ever.
I immediately disregarded thinking of todays date.

Looks like you've caught wind of something yesterday, so there might be some truth in it

Imagine though. Imagine is the Knights signed Brown to keep Ponga and lost Ponga, but now had Brown for 10 years
I know right.... it would simultaneously be one of the biggest signings and biggest fk ups in the competition's history.

And guaranteed it'd be the fk up angle that would dominate the headlines.

I really dislike the titillation of these rumors' threads.
Either the club has signed someone or it hasn't.
If it has, then tell us.
If not, shut up.
Nothing worse than announcing they are about to sign a "superstar" then find out Jazz is coming back next year.

Cobbo I can’t see leaving Brisbane. He’s like Trell, likes to go home when he can. It’s a lot harder from NZ than Brisbane

The ‘big signing’ Is ponga. But I highly doubt it will eventuate.

just put RTS or tuapiki there and use charnzes money elsewhere.
