he's not happy, but i don't think he's trying to leave just yet. last i spoke to him, he was saying how much he wanted to play himself back into first grade, and how he's "................hanging around"

he better not leave, i'll tie him to the stadium!

Well even allowing for questionable retention, the way Smith and Fitzgerald have N.Hindmarsh in high regard I ca't see him going elsewhere for a while yet

It wouldn't be what Smith and Fitzgerald think, more like what Nathan thinks.
Wouldn't be surprised if he is sick of doing 75% of the teams work. ;-)

If he's under contract there's no way he'd be released as we've seen with the Lyon debacle.

This rumour sonnds dodgy.

If he's under contract, I agree.
Also the rumour DOES sound dodgy.

But.............I wouldn't be surprised.

One of the main reasons Ian left Parra was because of Nathan. He felt that by playing in the same team as Nathan he would always be in his shadow and known as "that other Hindmarsh". I doubt it very much and both boys still have time left on their contract and I dont know about Canberra but our Hindmarsh will not be released.

It doesn't matter where Ian plays. He'll still be known as "that other Hindmarsh". But I'd be happy with "that other Hindmarsh" coming back home because the Hindy brothers together, form the best 2nd row combination in club football.

hopefully it is Ian coming home but as much as I would like that to be the case I can't see it happening and even less likley is Nathan going to Canberra.

Hindmarsh won't be comming to Parramatta, and besides i thought we weren't allowed to talk to other players before June 30.

I'm with Halfy.

Let me rephrase that.

They may have a game of touch footy at the Hindmarsh Xmas Barbie, thats about it.

They both play for the skins.

Wasn't he offered (Ian) a two year deal here and a two year deal with an option of a third by Canberra? Stranger things have happened but if Nath leaves then The Worm had better hide cos I'll be going hunting and it won't be for Hindmarshes...... I'm not fussed if he is just the messenger!

if we re-sign ian.. that means instead of nathan doing 75% of the work.. Ian and Nath can split the 100% evenly between them... 50/50..

maybe it could work out the following:

Defensively
Ian 75%
Nathan 25%

Attack
Nathan 75%
Ian 25%

that would be back to how it was when they both were at parra ;-)
