perhaps a good bench replacement for Prior?

Maybe, although Prior shouldnt be on the bench next year either - when I think about front row and back row rotations, I think Thompson, Frizz, Harrison and Creagh/JDB for the backrow and Stockwell, Merrin, Creagh/JDB +1 more for the front row, that +1 depends on more signings but I'd prefer someone with a bit of punch rather than someone for depth. And if we dont sign any big names, I reckon (worry) that Dan Hunt will get that last spot in the prop rotation...

If Clark is cheap enough, could be good for depth, but depends on what he wants, he might be better off looking at another club for a permanent first grade spot?

Not sure how. Clark's not really big enough for prop nor versatile enough to fill in the centres. If anything he'd be a replacement for Matthews or Vea. But you need those players I guess.

we have Thompson next season for the versatility Prior offers..
i was thinking of purely a replacement for Prior on the bench for forward rotation given we have Thompson to cover centre if needed..

I disagree on Bronson Harrison. Was looking good before his injury and played his way into a starting spot. We've missed him badly in defence.

Prior is a better player than clark, also Harrison has not set the world on fire for us.

Havent seen enough of Clark to comment. I do disagree on Harrison, was wasted playing in the middle early in the year, started to look good on the edge (especially in defense) and is one of few current players who runs angles and hits holes. With a coach who knows how to use him, he could be lethal.

Clark rumour was going around a few months ago honest toiler but no better than Mathews so no real point in signing him.

Twenty10 you'll be wanking yourself silly if Prior moves on I was hoping you would piss off but alas they doesn't seem like happening.

Why are we chasing these fringe players, surely we would have enough in depth of fringe players down at the Cutters!

Exactly. Sign a decent prop and we're done for 2014; someone like Kasiano. Then start for 2015 in November 2013.

It will be useless to sign him as we have plenty of back up forwards. We need big and good forwards with skill. I don't know who we can sign but we need at least 2 props

Have heard from a mate with ties at the bunnies that we are talking to Clark but apparently we are also deep in discussions with Keary which has been kept quiet?

signing Keary was far from kept quiet.. We wanted him b4 June 30 deadline though. Since Douths said no to releasing him we have signed Seijka for this year and Williams for next year so I'd say we have dropped off him especially considering Hastings is now our #1 priority signing for the future.

Dragons where interested but not anymore. Have Williams for now and are desperately trying to keep Hastings. Also have Johnson in their sights
