Cant say that I'm too fussed. I think our forward depth will be fine without him. More interested in your comments on Josh Morris. Any luck on more info? Also, you said Cummins wont be with us next year. Is that purely due to the fact that he doesn't want to be here or has he signed with another club?

Our forwards this year are terrible..paper thin defence, no aggression. The only addition next year is Thompson. So how can you say our forward depth is fine. We need at least 2 more hard working forwards who know how to tackle for 80 minutes...not like our current forward pack.

What I think needs to be factored in is the fact that our young guys will be getting more minutes. JDB has one of the best tackling techniques in the game and at lock I can see him getting more minutes. Add stockwell and Merrin up front who can hold their own. Frizz and Thompson can both put good hits on. I'm not saying that we will have the best defence in the league, but I think the money could be spent elsewhere or saved to possibly top-up some of our youngsters.

This may be true, but I don't think Jason Clark fits the bill. He is more of the workhorse mould.

We need to add another damaging prop...but I don't believe our pack is weak atm. A decent coach would have our guys eating metres and hurting the opposition I have no doubt.

You won't get one from Australia all the good forwards are all signed up Clark not coming isn't a big deal Mathews is the same type of player and imo is a better player anyway if given a decent go.

Willie Mataka is an aggressive ball runner and a good front on defender he is at the Cutters offer him a 1 yr deal and see how he goes he'll surprise a few people.

We need to spend big on atleast 2 front rowers. We have plenty on edge forward but not many that can stand toe to toe with the opposition pack. I like Matthews but obliviously price doesn't and if he is one of our saviours next year why isn't he playing already. Stockwell is good, Hunt isn't. Do we have many by juniors coming through?

I fail to understand why some people believe we don't need more good forwards. Has anyone noticed how shit our goal line defence is? Has anyone also noticed how bad our line speed is? This has a lot to do with the fact they are too small. The Sharks comfortably steam rolled us and made easily at least 60 m every set!

I agree and disagree...yes,we need at least 1 more decent prop,but our goal line defense and line speed is due to attitude and commitment,comes from the coach more than anything.

Our pack is poor. Yes there are some promising young forwards coming through but not many and Merrin is the only star. Watching the Sharks tear through our pack last weak was sickening. There just aren't enough guys prepared to rip in and that comes from the heart. You are either aggressive or you aren't. It's hard to teach.

We'll break even at best and get dominated more often that not. The backs look great but we really need some forwards with pride and balls. Prior, Creagh, Hunt, Ah Mau, Vea? Please. That won't get us over the line next year.

Apolgies if already mentioned but was stated in RLW that signing Clarke is highly unlikely as apparently he is in the promo for the Rabbits 2014 membership campaign, so make of that what you will.

Depends, if it another rookie from the Club and no change to the Doust / Young recruiting system, it could be worse.
