that's because it isn't his natural game. mateo got noticed and made first grade because he plays the way he does. you don't coach something out of a player if it's what made the player to begin with. there are times where mateo needs to be a little smarter with his ball playing though and take the tackle for a quick play rather than try the miracle offload. if he were able to get that balance right (as well as stay focussed in defence) he'd be playing origin.

Three NRL clubs have sounded out former Roosters and Souths glamour boy Craig Wing about a comeback to Aussie footy. The Panthers are one... and I'm sniffing out the other two. But despite telling a Sydney magazine he is keen to return to the NRL last week, it won't happen - because no one can match what Wing is earning playing rugby union in Japan. Wing is on around $500,000 a season - and doesn't have to play more than a dozen games to earn his yen.
