Keep a close eye on the Cowboys over the coming weeks.
Good chance some contracted players may want to walk if Henry gets the chop...
We'll take Thurston thanks.

i remember seeing shaun timmins in the junior origin in 1994 (i think it was) and thinking he was gonna be a very very strong first grade player. don't know why but this santi fella is giving me the same vibe.I watched the 20s origin and had no idea who any of those blokes were but one guy caught my attention. Looked him up in the big league and found it was Santi from the Tigers, he looks a real player from the limited footage that i have seen.
Works really hard, runs hard and has some decent speed. He could break through at Parra , good signing for both parties.
We'll have 3 fullbacks on the payroll next year who are all better than him and he only makes a good winger in a good team. Good skill and he's a Parra junior but he doesn't fit our needsJustin Hunt??
Matt Scott would be a smarter pickupWe'll take Thurston thanks.

Gareth Widdop would complement his game totally.
He always says nice things about his team mates. He really compliments them.

hope he ends up being as good or better than timmins and it isn't just wishful thinking and blind faith after the last few crap seasons.
Does anyone know if this Santi can play on an edge or is he probably a tight forward?
Ooooops...Double Post....
He plays both, at least in the NYC. Lately he has been playing on the edge.
Ok, so it is highly likely we have bought him to play on an edge, given what else we seem to have as tight forwards for next year.
I was going to say he is more likely to play in the middle, given that it appears his strength is his workrate.
But you're right, we do have tight forwards coming out of our (loose) arsehole.
Santi seems to have a similar build stats to Harrison, albeit is slightly lighter, but he is 5 years younger, so I guess we could see him on an edge next year. Anyone who has seen him play is he a likely chance of starting for us ahead of Tanginoa at the start of next year?
The young second-rower and lock has extended his deal with the blue and gold until the end of 2015, and hopes to sidestep the salary cap hurdles that have kept him out of first-grade in the 2013 season.
"It's been frustrating with the second tier salary cap, knowing that I can't play," Edwards said.
