Like I said, within reason. The dogs have backended contracts. Same amount of money earned over the life of the contract.

Storm would still be paying a pretty good amount for Smith but they probably get special considerations considering they're in AFL territory.

The salary cap announcement doesn't say anything about players having an agreed minimum though. Once the deal is registered it's set while talking though can be anything over $100k

The annoying part is Merrin started the year looking fitter than I've ever seen him. It lasted a month or two and he looks chubby again. The rest of our forwards have that lean look to them. I don't think he has applied himself as Tamou, RCG and Leota have off the field.

What a little effort can do I wanted Tamou gone and now I'm happy if he's a bench forward next year.

Yeah he started the year off ok. Trying to atone from last year's poor form, he brought a lot more aggression in his game but after a 2 months his minutes dropped off and so did his aggression.
I don't know if he put on a few kg's and ran out of steam but the last 2 months of the year he just kept getting worse.
I like him but I think he needs a change of scenery for any hope of turning his career around.
I want to keep Tamou.

I think after last nights game im happy to swap maloney for peachey hes too much of a liability in defence we keep chasing points cause he keeps giving away soft tries rushing up out of the line.Sharks made there intentions clear during the week they were gonna attack maloney and he made it easy for them to win the game.Im happy to start next yr with cleary peachey and if that doesnt work then cleary luai
