One thing about Gus that can get lost in all the rubbish is he is very big believer in mentoring young people to help them find their way. His whole post playing career he’s been doing it, he would’ve been quite close to a lot of our players. Might be the reason behind some of our worst signings in his time, he gets to close, to much emotion. But as a fan I love that passion.

He looks skillful 3 games back from an ACL tear though probably not ready this year

Yeah he looks decent from what I’ve seen. The type of player you would see come through the system at Melbourne, he’s not a freak athlete or anything but a smart and skilled player.

So many examples of teams with round pegs in square holes. Not really sure most fans are across how important it is.

Clubs no long require an exemption for development players outside their top 30 once the June 30 signings deadline passes.

So our 6 development players are as follows:

Dean Blore
Billy Burns
Shawn Blore
Spencer Leniu
Brayden McGrady

And with Blore busted it allows Naden to take his place. Correct?

To’o was upgraded to top 30 to replace Philips, so I’d say Naden is taking his spot.

I doubt it. You don’t get to fill a top 30 because of a season ending injury. You can only apply for exemptions.
