I'd just hand a debut to a guy like Jed Cartwright. Katoa would work there too. Or if they want a proper half Dean Blore.

It won't look very elegant but we should just power through the Titans. The game plan should be very simple to execute. Cartwright and Peachey (If he plays) are dangerous but they may also feel some pressure coming back here.

We scored points very easily in round 5. Our loss that night was due to our piss poor effort levels in defence. This team has regained some of our resolve from 2018, I don't expect a repeat of that game.

The North Queensland Cowboys today released NRL squad member Nene Macdonald from his playing contract.

The release is by mutual agreement, with the club, Nene and his management deciding Nene needs some time away from the game.

The club will provide Nene with ongoing support and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Also allegdley he left his drivers license behind in the car and only turned himself into police after the alcohol wore off.

I rate peak Nene a fair bit higher than DM, but (off field issues aside), he suffered a pretty serious injury earlier in the year. No guarantee he'll be the same player when/if he gets back either.
