Ivan might be onto something here,
2nd rowers are becoming more agile, plus if your a big centre like BJ or latrell you'd be not running over centres so easily if they were sam burgess size.
maybe we are going defensive this year, Ivan sure likes his defence.
DEFENCE WINS PREMIERSHIPS!

There is an argument to be had there. Ivan beat Roosters and Storm(x2) at Tigers on defence. Throw in Barret because Ivan recognises his own attacking faults and there COULD be a more well balanced performance in 2020.

It makes perfect sense you hold the opinion you do. Mine was my mother against us as kids to the point the police got involved and I have permenent issues where I struggle socially (you can tell in my video audio). So I understand where you're coming from.

Oh dear this is all so very sad. Take care everyone.

All this carry on for a bloke that we haven’t even signed yet.

Imagine if we do sign him.
For the record, i was keen on JWH coming here, but im sure tetevano being a bit younger will be better for the team in the long run, it might even show penrith fans about the mongrel we've been missing,
But i do remember the round 23 vs roosters, Zane had stopped trying to tackle as he was impeaded by RCG, when cleary blew up about the rule, the whole unsportsmanship thing, kinda actually blame RCG for that, cant stop at the line

Good point. Would he be the most controversial player signing in the clubs history?

I'm trying to think of a past signings with checkered pasts before we signed them. Can anyone think of any?

Thats nice took all of one second to read your apology, then this quote,
Just grow up bro, i too am sorry for your past if it indeed is true, but im not here to judge anyone, alls i was saying is we both avoid each other, or we can just say sorry, move on, talk about centres or lack therof, like everyone else here, we dont need to get all deep into person lives, hell i wont even call you a hippy no more, sound fair?

There is a PM button i'm sure guys..

I dunno, all our signings in the forwards, none in the backs. Disheartening tbh.

Go forward wasn’t our problem, execution was. I thought if we’d be signing a prop it’d be a purely depth signing.

Wait until Zane does something that in our jersey and we dont get the rub of the green. Absolute bullshit he was rewarded for not even attempting a tackle.

Im hoping to god we don't sign him. I think he offers more to us than Capewell as a player. But I could far more easily cheer Capewell on than some thug that bashes woman snd blames the NRL culture for his actions. Honestly hope we miss out on him. I dont want to get mixed feelings about him if he comes and kills it for us. Which I think he will.

I don't rate Aitkens highly. But considering how far Whare has declined and Nadens shortcomings at centre he would be our best centre.

Anything that increases the chances of Naden to wing is good IMO.

1. Edwards
2. Naden
3. Aitkens
4. Chricton / Burns / Luai etc.
5. To'o

I think is better than having Mansour and Whare starting. Although surely thats not our plan for the whole season. I expect them to start Round 1. But to be phased out.

I think so too. Unless we pick up another centre.
I am not convinced the roster is settled after Tetevano.

I think they were always going to try and sign an experienced but better value prop to replace RCG. So at $350,000 a season, that seems a value signing for an experienced premiership winning prop.

There is an old saying I heard as a kid. 'Forwards win you the game, backs just determine by how much'.

If ths adage it true. I'm sure our current will step up to the mark real well.

Panthers sign Roosters’ premiership prop

The Penrith Panthers have finally landed a replacement for former Kangaroos forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard.

The club is about to announce the signing of Sydney Roosters middle forward Zane Tetevano on a three-year contract for less than half the money RCG was on.

Panthers director Greg Alexander received a glowing reference for the 29-year-old forward when he rang the Roosters last week.

Tetevano, who was part of the Roosters’ 2018 premiership-winning side, is rated so highly by the NRL premiers that he was taken to the United States for the team’s off-season training camp despite him leaving the club because of salary cap pressure.

His signing – worth around $350,000-a-season – is a huge boost for the Panthers, who on Monday announced they had also secured edge forward Kurt Capewell from the Cronulla Sharks.

Tetevano has played 74 first grade games for the Roosters in the last three years.

Contract upgrades for Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Siosiua Taukeiaho forced him to look elsewhere.
Tetevano will join former Cronulla utility Capewell out west after he signed a two-year deal to join coach Ivan Cleary’s team.

Like Tetevano, Capewell was also squeezed out of his club due to salary cap restraints.
