Even if by some act of god he avoids gaol he aint playing Rugby League again. What a dumb f**k, throwing it all away by being a dickhead. My cousins young bloke plays in that Brothers team. The whole team has been stood down because of it, all because of the actions of 2 idiots.

Apparently he is from a really good family too. Always been a nice polite kid. The other one involved is loose as f**k though. I've heard a few stories about him over the last few years.

He played in Round 1. Contracts are on hold atm until NSWRL advise what is going on for the next season he was in the plans though

Given Caleb Aekins is off contract and despite his appearances in 2020 realistically is not going to be re-signed. I really hope he gets picked up by another NRL club even if only as a worthy back up. The emergence of Staines & Laurie will surely mean he has to look elsewhere to continue his career.

Manly is another. Elliott has played fullback for Manly more than Turbo in 19/20 and is so average. Not that Aekins is great but I think he a does a simple job well and obviously is contributing to our defence being the best in the league since the restart.

That's a bit harsh in saying he does the simple job well.

He's great at the basics of a difficult position in fullback but has negative x factor in attack.

Plenty of gun wingers and centres have failed at the fundamentals of playing fullback.

I didn’t mean offence. As fullbacks go, his role in our game plan is reasonably stripped back when he plays and he does that role well.

I saw articles a few months back that basically suggested he had been resigned on a 3 year deal, but haven’t heard anything since to confirm that he was in fact resigned. I have also been cringing every time I hear Ennis talk him up and say he would be top of his list to try to sign - no doubt Chricton’s player manager will be using that to his advantage.

Blades got him and Martin down as done deals. Just waiting on the managers who dragging the chain with last minute finalising.

The Mole reckons we’d let Staines go to the Bulldogs in 2021 if Barrett wants him. Personally I find it very hard to believe, but that’s what he’s saying.

I’d be furious if we let Staines go. You can’t coach what he has, pure pace. And we lack that one commodity.
