JAC staying at the Storm will surely mean Josh ends up going to the Tigers.

Hopefully we can use extra cash to secure our highest priorities.

Man thats a sad way to go out. Poor Sauce

Secures his families future which I guess is his major consideration.

As a former Panther and friend said to many years ago now it is hard to go from earning $200 a year (probably equivalent to $400K now) to having to work for a living on the tools after his retirement.

I’m sure Josh has made sound investments over his career so he should be fine.

I agree. I will be sorry to see Sauce go. To me he will always be a Panthers (even though he no longer wears our colours). I wish he could have stayed.......(I know I live in fairyland hence my name)

The powers that be (in my opinion have made the right call) especially after seeing what Fox did to a number of Clearys kicks. Charlie Staines come on down........

I tend to think Dylan Edwards is no automatic selection for the fullback role.

Dylan had a great season in my opinion but if we keep young Laurie then it is a three way shootout for the fullback position and the best man should get the gig.

$200 a year? That's not even the minimum wage.

If you believe the media apparently JAC has been upgraded to $480K for his final year at the Storm after only being on $360K this season. Really. The media have reported we have had to cough up $500K to retain Staines but apparently JAC earns less. Maybe he has 300K in third parties I don’t know but when it comes to the media quoting figures for contracts I’m sure they just pluck figures out of there you know what.

It was 10 seasons ago the minimum wage then was probably $50K.

It was a culture shock going from full time footy player earning good coin to having to work for a living. He didn’t quite earn enough during his footy days to acquire a business and had to work for a living, still does.

The tigers supporters are saying they signed Laurie

I understand the way the salary cap is designed to work and I understand the fact we had a great if largely unanticipated successful season but I fail to understand how we are going thru so much hurt when certain other clubs who finished in the top four aren’t.
