No thanks to McQueen and Walker.

If Blake is struggling now and he puts in some inept performances this year I would say that's his chances of a regular spot just about done.

Yep. If he struggles than Rennings takes his spot. Hell he might take it even if Blake has a killer preseason and great trial form.

I think Blake will be a star and reach his potential in 2016. But if he doesn't we still have other options. Robert Jennings, Will Smith, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.

All of Walker, Hiku, Grevsmuhl, Hayne and Mcqueen have been mentioned.

not bad but the player we look to have signed would have been the last player I would have picked from that list...

really hoping we have an injury free season next year, really want to see if our juniors can make it in 1st grade.

Could we be looking at McQueen as a back? A big centre to replace Idris?

He does seem to be a strange signing, although he clearly has talent and a lot of upside.

He isn't a signing I would make but he adds some NRL experience which we need and soluths must be paying some of his contract for next year so it couldn't be costing us much.

Robert Jennings didn't look very good last year in limited opportunities, I think he needs some seasoning in NSW Cup

George on the other hand...

DT says Titans offered him 150k a season which he turned down and that we seem to be playing hardball to get Souths to cover some of the cost. And that Griffin wants him, used to coach him.

He was usually played on the wing and typically only played when injuries were bad enough to be dipping that far into our depth. If he plays in a near full strength side at centre I would expect him to look a lot better. Our centres will be better with Moylan and Soward both playing. They create space.

Yeah if they get a run in 2016 in a full strength side and look like a lost cause, it might be time to can the idea of them playing first grade. Although with Blake he did show plenty of glimpses of his potential in 2015 at first grade level. Hell if it wasn't for being a poor finisher in tight spaces he wouldn't have so many haters IMO.

Atleast half of the errors he made were on the wing and not having the ability to convert a chance into a try. Then he had a heap of errors which were him trying too hard to create something. Which isn't uncommon for young guys who are used to pulling shit like that off in the lower grades.

Plus our go forward should be much better with Merrin, Mansour and hopefully one of Latu/Kikau/Matagi stepping up.

We have withdrawn from negotiations with Chris McQueen. Gus said he is not within our budget. Considering we should have $400k or more available easily with Idris leaving I think it means we have landed Grevsmuhl for 2016 and/or one of the other players we were after.

So glad we don't have McQueen coming. He might have been ok value in 2016. But being stuck with him in 2017 aswell would make it not worth it.

Totally agree. Hope your right about Grevs too.
