You notice his value declined as the season wore on? Or else why did we retract the offer? Don't tell me you still think our salary cap is f**ked. The club recently stated they can afford to spend more on players for next year.

Are you kidding, his value declined after his first season with us, if not half way through it.

Only dumbarses who think having the slowest centre come possible fullback in the NRL, and our coaching staff apparently, couldn't see he was way over estimated. Solid centre/winger due to his safe and good hands, but that's about it. Decent tackler, and decent finisher when close to the line, but like I have said many times, not worth more then $250-300 max.

And considering what has come to light with the Titans James Roberts affair who is apparently on $300k, how in the world could we get it soooooo freakin wrong again????

Lesson 1: How to create controversy from a nothing story

Lead: Player has been given extended leave so he can christen the new kid

Parramatta winger Semi Radradra's manager has denied his star client wants out of the NRL club and is certain to return from Fiji for pre-season training next week.

The current Dally M Winger of the Year has yet to join his teammates for summer training, stirring speculation he is unhappy with his current contract and was in search of lucrative dollars overseas.

However player agent George Christodoulou insists last year's top tryscorer is happy at the Eels and had been granted extended leave to attend to family matters.

"He is in Fiji for the christening of his daughter and he will be back here and back to training next week," Christodoulou told AAP.

Radradra, 23, is contracted to the Eels until the end of the 2018 season after spurning overtures from rugby in Japan and France to pen a four-year extension midway through 2014.

The deal was reported to be worth $250,000 a season, which, given the club's contract bungles over the past 12 months, is arguably the best value-for-dollar signing in the NRL.

Having scored 48 tries in 49 games, the fourth-year player could stand to earn a lot more on the open market, but his manager moved quickly to shut down the rumours.

"There is nothing in it. There are no dramas there at all. Everything is fine," he said.

But what do you think they mean when they say that...

See some may say it is pointless to constantly complain about something that appears to have no benifit in complaining about, but I think that is wrong.

To my way of thinking, if more people complained and tolerated less crap about things...services, politics, roads etc, and I mean really complained, then there would come a tipping point and ultimately something would change and fairly quickly.

Agreed, but how often does rapid change lead to anything good? All good things take time, but a f**kfight can get worse very quickly.

Hopoate has a groin injury mate. Don't forget he has played Origin every year since his debut.

It sure was a funny old groin injury that.

It stopped him from playing fullback except as a mediocre plodder, but allowed him to play centre / wing at exactly the same standard (average to slightly above average) as he had done the year before.

It also didn't require surgical intervention or stop him being selected for state or country.

It also seemed to justify the figure that pou pou made up that we were paying him and magically explained the reduction from the much higher figures that pou pou insisted we weren't offering him.

Quite the magic injury. It served no real purpose other than to bolster increasingly absurd statements by pau as he tried to deny that Kearney had signed a lemon or that the current admin had continued to offer hoppa massive overs.

But it needs for a real good pissed off and sustained whinge. Anything less is ignored by the powers that be, just like for example our politicians who have learned the art of fragmentation of the population to avoid real political unrest over taking them.

Well the same can definitely be said of our club. There are always going to be 5-10% of supporters like me who will stick it to them as long as they keep producing clangers like the Hopa affair and others, Foran affair anyone?

Then there will always be around 70-80% who acknowledge their short comings and cockups, but easily dismiss them and look for any positive because they see no upside or point in pursuing a negative or destructive(in their eyes) point of view. So mostly just turn a blind eye to it, and get annoyed with people that keep reminding them of it.

And finally there are the rest, the perennial optimists who never say a bad word or entertain the thought of a negative outburst in public and will always see a glass totally full kind of view point.

Needless to say I am of the pissed off whinger type that only goes by deeds and results not blustering or rhetoric. So therefore I will always whinge until we get it right and at the very least until then going off is one way of keeping me sane following this ridiculously amateurish mob, even if it is only on an internet footy site.

Cheers Ram.

I understand the whinge mentality completely and don't have a problem with it at all. I work in policy development and advocacy so I have a lot of experience dealing with whingers. Also, there are often occasions where I have to whinge on behalf of angry people.

I guess the point that I made earlier, which hasn't been addressed is around understanding the complexities of the problems that you are whinging about and offering constructive feedback on what should be changed and why.

Any merkin can have a whinge but those who truly affect change offer a lot more than this.

I would be interested in how you see Parramatta improving. What would you do to get us on the path to becoming a powerhouse again?

I just had a two-way whingeing phone conversation with a senior executive in my organisation. She rang to complain that a project that she'd invested a lot of time and money in can't tell her what she wants to know. I complained that I'd told her the whole plan was f**ked from the beginning and could never have done what she expected, and that she should reacquaint herself with basic numeracy skills. I expect I'll get another phone call from someone in the middle, telling me not to be so frank. Oh, hang on.....phone...

I didn't know whether to laugh or ring Today Tonight and do a Rammy, when f**knut Wilson on channel 7 ran on about "Semi is yet to show up to preseason training and is staying in Fiji!" then without taking a breath added "Eels officials have stated he has permission for extended leave and is due to return to training at (some date in future)".

And that was it, not even an opinion on going to union or NFL or international piracy

He is 88kg only 4 less then smith but the same size as Farrah.

Granville is 85kg, Rein is also 85kg, Ennis is 87kg, luke is 89kg, Ballin is 88kg, Segeyaro is 84, Friend is 85, these are just a few of the starting hookers for 2015. There were a couple at 92 kg but most under 90.

Pritchard really isn't that small compared to other hookers, his probably Normal/average size.

Fair enough. He looks smaller than that.
