Fair enough to throw them out there to find out there validity, but with these particular players, i personally would be more hesitant to throw rumours out there as SBW is still contracted to the Dogs until the end of next season or 2013 and i'm pretty sure that Cameron Smith only signed a new deal at the end of last year until the end of 2013.

I was aware of Smith being contracted for at least next year, not to 2014 but these days players are being offloaded/released to other clubs with a few years still up their sleeves, the recent being Fifita and Gibbs to the Sharks.
I was under the impression that SBW is not part of the Dogs cap anymore, therefore any transfer fee paid to the dogs will not be included as part of the cap to acquire his services.
Maybe I am wrong about this - can anyone conform what the NRL's position on this circumstance is?
