I get the feeling no one will be able to replace Luai according to you. He will be hard to replace and you need to start somewhere, might as well be a Talagi or Cole. Both young with still lots to learn but will come from playing in a great team.

Nah, cole I have complete faith in, he seems to want to put body on the line on most moment, he is anything BUT a turnstyle, yes he has had some injuries, like Chins loves to point out, but every player goes thru a spurt of those nate and teddy are proof of that, as for romeys replacement, it will be a few years, but at the moment I'm betting on Schneider and Cleary combo for the bulk of this season, and hopefully they click, if not cole will step up

Allamoti was a turnstile before he came to us.

There is no reason to think that Blaize will improve his defence. Especially in our superior system.

I think we should at least give him a go for writing him off.

He is still developing physically. But you can't put a warriors heart in a player, they either have it or they don't. He has it. We don't know how much skill yet because he was given a simple role to fill and played safe to limit mistakes.

Maybe somebody who saw him play as a junior can comment on his skill levels are.

Talagi must not have had the surgery nath and dyl had on the shoulders because hes been in all the pre season training pics and hasnt been wearing any of the injured bibs players wear who are on restricted training programs.

I cant see schnieder playing at 6 over cole, talagi or even laurie.

We dont need someone else to steer the team with nath there.. and brad really doesn't offer any spark.

Personally i hope talagi has a huge off season and gets first crack.

Id also be happy for daine to add 3 or 4kgs of muscle to his frame. Work really hard on his defence and also get a shot.

I think cole is really suited to the 14 role. Can play lock at a pinch, 6 and centre. Maybe 9 if shit really hit the fan.

Either way competition for spots is great and normally brings out the best in all players fighting for a spot.

Writing anyone off before a balls kicked... let alone a kid thats 19 and the only nrl hes played is at a team that was battling for the spoon is crazy.

Lets give him 12 months.

Cole also needs another 12 months. If at least to continue to build his body up for fg.

I think daine has the attacking flair and ability to walk straight in as luais replacement but im just not sure he can get anywhere near luais great defence which is the issue.

I tend to think our future 5/8 needs to be the player with the best kicking game, alternate kicker to Nathan. Not that they will be called upon too often but still need an alternative, Luai was the perfect alternative kicker. Not quite sure who offers the most in the kicking department. If he is still with us, I think Schneider could be the best option, very solid defensively, has a running game, I’m not writing him off at this early stage. Off the four current options Schneider is the only actual half, the others are makeshift in my opinion.

Soild defence, can kick and doesn't get hurt. That's all we need with Nathan fit
