Just seeing all the talent coming through and the potential talent that will be coming up through the grades I hope we are smart with our buying. We are ok for second rowers and locks IMO. so we don't need to spend 300k on the likes of Buhrer.i know you solely can't depend on juniors but gee we have a good a batch coming through that I haven't seen since 2004. Even our outside backs coming up are very talented.

Let the likes of the bulldogs spend 850k on importing players.

It's only early days but we have some promising forwards but still reckon we need buy at least one forward.

I reckon the pack needs an experienced / rep/ leader player. I would love to be able to get greg bird , he is the type of player we need. He would take the pack to the next level

Lee mossop?

I do think one good purchase in the pack would do us a world of good. Tariq sims perhaps?

He is not a good signing. He is a shadow of the player he was before his broken leg injury.

To tell you the truth, if we keep playing the way we are at the moment and even improve, then I don't see any new signings necessary at all for the big bucks that they would demand. I mean our spine now is pretty awesome if they don't lose form or get injured.

We really have to be smart with any new signings and releasings from here on in, because so many of these kids will be needing upgrades to keep them. So why waste precious cap space on players that aren't necessary.

The only real issue I see at present, is back up hooker. We have none, so we need to get that sorted real smart. And backup halfback. Kelly is hardly worth keeping after this season.

High priced recruits are not what we need at the moment. We need to make space in our salary cap or we WILL get into trouble again. And then we will hear the old fallacious chestnut, "you can't keep them all", rolled out again.

Seriously, you should be running a brothel with say 50 s**ts. You could set up an academy to find and test the goers and not so goers (regularly sample the products under high performance & endurance testing) and do all the other things you go on about with your statistics, strategies, innovations, and even manage your pussy squad under a performance cap system so that your clients have always got the best chicks on the market and with your red light reputation glowing everywhere in all its glory draws in many stand-over merchants wanting a piece of the pie or else.... but even then your military background with PSYOPS included will work to your advantage too. Your it man.... the king of pussy or is that nuffies?

Who would do the testing? Im looking for work............

I think you're spot on but let's not get too excited just yet.

I'd like to see how we're going after 10 weeks, particularly our pack.

We could be in a great position of NOT having to sign anyone unless its the right player at the right price.

That has NEVER been the case for us.

Greg bird would be the one IMO. A true pack and team leader who stands up in key moments and would be a real leader.

No point paying big money for sims. Huge potential yes but hasn't realised it and now has injury problems.

Not what we need

Agreed. But if we do keep performing well by say mid season, I would change our focus from acquisition to one of retention.

I agree also, but is he available and would he be worth the 600+ price tag that it would probably take to snare his prized scalp?

That money would probably be the difference of keeping some of these quality juniors with necessary upgrades or losing them to our rivals.

I still I don't think we'll make the 8... We're flying right now but blokes like Mau, Edwards, junior, Pauli and kalepi won't able to sustain this form all year and there will be flat spots and injuries will creep in as they do with all clubs, we're about 12 months away from being genuine threats..

As for signing front, we need to make a big decision on 2 players in particular soon which will probably rock the foundations of our supporter base but will give us the opportunity to maybe a get a couple of players that will just about make us a top 4 side.. I trust that BA will make that decision wisely, after all and despite his efforts thus far he has been given squad that's ideal and still progressing into a special group thanks to the efforts of those there before him..

Shame about Tariq, had tons of talent.

I do agree we should set out walk away price quite low and not pay overs for anyone.

Mannah could go either way and I wouldn't blame the club. If cutting Mannah meant securing an important signing so be it.

As for Fui, this has to be his last year. I would argue that there are four better props in our rotation as of right now.
